Electronica has a different type buzz than Cole. I don’t think record sales mean as much to Jay E as they do to J.Cole. And Jay E has never put out music regularly/on a pattern. When Act II comes, it comes. Cole is in trouble IMO if Bad Girls Club doesn’t hit. And it’s gotta raise eyebrows that he has to wait this long for a verse from Hova. Jay-Z needs to help these guys eat and not just be sitting in the Throne.

How long has Hov had the record? Is he not doing shows etc with other artists whose careers he has been involved with Rihanna, Ye and Jeezy? Is he past the album due date? We all saw Drake and 40 finalizing Thank Me Later that last week during the documentary. Industry niggas are notoriously tardy to everything. This is nothing out of the ordinary. He’s talked about Hov talking to him and listening to the album etc throughout. Non issue, really.

First of all saying, he’s not on WTT because Jay and Ye are watching the throne against him is crazy talk, nothing more nothing less. Jay and Ye could give two f**ks about Cole and his album (Excuse my language ) and this fool is up there talking like he’s an established artist with three classic albums under his belt. Smh Cole. Now, not dropping the mixtape before the album to gain some hype is a very understandable move because you always want the album to have a huge impact and be anticipated so I completely understand his decision. However, the fact that he said that the main reason he’s not dropping it is not just because he wants to increase anticipation, but because “He does not know how to make bad mixtapes” and he just knows the fans will “fall in love with that mixtape more than the album” is just distasteful. I mean even if you feel that way, why would you say that in an interview, regardless of who you are. Now don’t mistake this rant for hate because I want to see Cole win just a smuch as everyone in here, but he’s letting this little hype get to his head and its turning off potential fans. No one is denying that the boy is talented, but cmon Cole. Oh well, I guess alls well that ends well

this nigga’s career just went head first in quicksand. and before I go forward with my assessments, I just want to congratulate myself in being true and correct about A. Hole. I told ya’ll niggaz from birth when A. Hole and his team wanted to avoid getting outshined on every track on the album by other artists on his album. now we know why the release of the “work out” video got delayed because, it’s getting re-shot again. Is it just me or does Cole not seem happy with Jay and the album lead up? Another classic example of NEVER play for Jordan and NEVER sign with Jay… I hope he’s not tied up to Roc Nation for too many albums.

i really like cole & wale due to them both being above average rappers,
but honestly i dont think either of them will ever me a major part of mainstream music. they should just be trying to release solid albums and not worrying too much about sales.

In regards to Watch The Throne, the features only include singers. It’s already a compilation album so why would you include other rappers, it would seem cluttered. I wouldn’t sign with Jay-z. He’s good at signing talent as he did as President at Def jam but he is an artist at this core. Developing talent isn’t his style, proven by his tenure at roc nation and roc-a-fella. It’s time Rocnation steps up for Cole. We all know J elec doesn’t believe in timeframes or release dates so J cole is the label’s most viable artist. I’m excited for his album. Success breads hatred, with fans like some of you who needs haters smh.
reason why nobody is paying attention to the Work Out video leak is b/c #1: theres no good videos of it on youtube, #2: the major blogs dont post leaked material from major artist anymore b/c their liable to get sued, #3: most importantly, cole isnt using that video anymore and he already did the re-shoot the other day for the new video…end of story

I kind of see this from a different perspective I think then some of you. As someone who lived in north carolina for twenty plus years of my life I see a lot of the strong willed southern winner mentality. Cole is gonna come out on top his album will be a success and I have a feeling Jay knows that too his verse will come late but mostly because Jay will want to make it a really really strong verse. Coles young hungry and sure has that cockyness the only thing he needs right now is someone to coach his strategy a touch better. His lead single was his least well received music in a longtime. Gotta admit though its been fun watching him gain this much shine

I totally agree with you. Jay-z isn’t the type of person to build up his artists. I find that he can’t turn in his verse on time ever more worrying. For instance, Yelawolf has a new album coming out. Dude asked Em for a verse and a beat and, even though Em was working on BME, he STILL had the time to give him a verse. SMH @ Rocnation.
@Pauly Dee , Jay signed him in the first place and then put him on tours with no album out and also put him on his own album and based the title of the song around Cole ( A STAR IS BORN ) do you not understand that type of promotion is priceless? heres a story that might shut yall up. Jay did the exact same thing to Lupe for his feature on Food & Liquor (which Jay Exec. Produced). Lupe has told the story in multiple interviews about how Jay didnt send his verse for Pressure until the day before his album was due to Atlantic. Jay simply does this so that artist wont take advantage and try to murder him on a song. Its the competitor in Jay that causes him to wait
