It’s a pretty decent song.
This shit is wack as fuck! Beat. Chorus. Bridge. Bars. All of it.
Good enough for a debut single
wale just blew up. this shit is gonna b on repeat in the club and on the radio. i’m a huge cole fan but workout just got demolished, sorry cole
Sounds like a 2nd single to me
BAD BITCHES GET LOW RIGHT NOW
wow j cole sucks so bad id have to say that bitch ass nigga lil b better than j cole , j cole is such a pussy boy ,wale did his thing on here tho i fucked wit wale part
The artwork>>>>
the fuck is this bullshit?
cover is stupid. song is good
WALE IS the leader for the new GEEKCORE movement
i don’t understand why cole was so willing to give this to mr. no day’s off, when it’s clearly a much better single than work out. weird thought process there.
ehhhhhh
wale just blew up. this shit is gonna b on repeat in the club and on the radio. i’m a huge cole fan but workout just got demolished, sorry cole
^^^^^
I was about to say this….shits fucked up but Cole just took a big L lol…I mean he shouldve used this as HIS single. All his shit got BAD timing. Work Out will get NO plays. This nigga needs to make some moves main damn put Rihanna on a track or something. Pop A Stargate beat in and spit ’cause this shit is NOT working. Damn he took a L….This song is so much more radio friendly than Work Out…Wale gonna get more mainstream too now. Feel bad for Cole lol. Dope cover.
Maybe it’ll grow on me. This is pretty good but nothing amazing. Also I’m listening off my laptop speakers so maybe that has something to do with it.
This song is lackluster at best. Honestly it’s just so-so which disappoints me because I’ve been hearing about it for quite a while.
where did wale’s creativity in his lyrics go? smh – could be an up and comer on the single charts, though. that doesn’t say much beyond money though.
Too many bad bitches, not enough beautiful women
Yeah Cole definitely took an L producing the beat, verse and hook on the song /sarcasm. Just because it’s not HIS single doesn’t mean it ain’t promotion.
Lol this is Trash niggas making excuses talking about it will grow on me n shit Gtfho get off Coles dick for ONCE Nigga said Iam playing it on laptop speakers that’s why it didn’t sound good hahaha
wale just blew up. this shit is gonna b on repeat in the club and on the radio. i’m a huge cole fan but workout just got demolished, sorry cole

co-sign man, cole just makes the wrong moves. idk how u can produce this beat and hiiipower and give them both away and then think workout is gonna do it for u. idk wat he’s thinkin. hopefully columbia and rocnation can push workout and get it play
This shits ok , beat was dope but its just deja vu of Pretty Girls which I ultimately will say is better. Cole should be thanking Wale for the help though cause he needed some.
J. Cole produced this, his gunna eat well off this. He basically gave Wale a packaged single
Yall said this is better than Work Out!? What crack yall smoking??? Yall need to stop smoking on the Kid Cudi weed and clear yall minds. Cole my dude but this track, trash. Work Out got me rocking dancing and singing along. Thats a radio hit
I’m gettin nervous bout my nigga Cole.
the like dislike ratio is like 10 to 1 on this song and yet theres all this hate on here, dont get it. this is a fuckin banga for a single, if you cant see that u got a problem. bitches r gonna b all over this on the way to the club
@Cali you a dumbass. This is Wale’s song so I’m not on Cole’s nuts. 2, laptop speakers are shit, maybe you should get familiar with headphones or a speaker system-shit makes a real difference.
Nice job Wale. I fucks with DC
It’s wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy better than “Work Out”, but that’s not saying much.
This song is a good single radio friendly. Two of my favorite artists working together. My understanding is J cole produced the track too, I can move to this beat. I still prefer Beautiful Bliss but this is just good commercial music. This is the ” You Got it ” Sequel. I hope they did something interesting for the video both guys are more creative than the average sexy girl video. The cover is in bad taste but I like the graphics/style props to the artist.
TBF If I turn on the radio and hear work out and bad girls club, I’d actually listen to radio more often.
Shame it won’t happen though
All u hating ass computer blog nerds need to shut the hell up, The same ones get on everytime just to hate. none of u can do what they do so just get the dick out your ass, shut the fuck up and listen to the music or get your raggedy ass off the computer and lose your virginity or something.
ive always been suspicious about this sites like:dislike ratio. There’s never as many comments as likes. And EVERY post has more likes than dislikes…. so it doesnt really tell you anything. If you want to know what people really think ignore the likes and dislikes and read the comments.
speaking of wale…http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q3Y_YxBWcrQ
they got a video for it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKKPD27No2o
sorry for the shameless plug everyone, but a dj’s gotta do what a dj’s gotta do
J. Cole is really talented but more of a behind the screens guy.. ghostwriter/producer should be his thing.. still looking forward to his album, but as a realistic Cole fan I really think he’ll live up to be RocNation’s main guy, ever..
haha WALE HAS A HIT!!!!!
wale sold 28k first week on his debut album hopefully this one picks up some momentum.
@Dree yeah in november of 2009.
This song is basically carried by the production…rest is kinda lame
why all thee dark skinned rappers so god damn color struck? Light skin this light skin that. Red bone this red bone that. Why are yall so obsessed with skin tone? Stop embarrassing yourselves. Self hating ass coonery.
This shit goes. Imagine club lights flashing walking in the club drunk hearing this. Cole should’ve kept this for him tho. Beats ill.
@letsbefrank
have u been on this site b4? look at every lil wayne, rick ross, gucci, and roscoe dash post and tell me theres more likes than dislikes. look at waynes mixtape yesterday
Club banger….FACT. Hoes finna go crazy on that hook. FACT. What the nigga above me said it true…co sign bruh.
Co-sign I NEVER see no dark skinned men dating dark skinned women. But I see light skinned men with dark skinned women all the time. Its true alot of dark skinned men got serious self hate issues. Shit is deep. Kinda pathetic.
for all the clowns sayin cole took a big L and shouldve kept this yall are stupid as fuck this song sucks workout is much better its NOT just about airplay you NEED to have dignity and no way cole wants this shit on his album. plus he’s still on the hook and a verse so people will check him out either way
Lmaoooo @Mikeyfresh really Yeah what the fuck would club lights flashing being in the club drunk have to do with this bum single god you cocking stans
So is it gonna be better somehow while iam drunk in the club with lights flashing is it gonna be a life changing experience ?
Wale and J. Cole should work out a deal with The Bad Girl Club show and have them Use this song….THEN they’ll make serious cash. Bitches love that show
Work Out just debuted at #85 on the Top 100
Higher than Sean and Wiz when they dropped their 1st singles
Yeah Cole is taking an L…hahahahaha
@paulyV
wat makes workout so much more dignified than this. “lemme see u get high and go low, lemme see u drop that thang down to the floor” as opposed to “bad bitches get low”…seems like u nit-pickin a lil dude. productions better on this track, hooks better, verses pretty much the same. i think this is better than workout and im a big j cole fan
with that said i think workouts gonna b a big hit too
Mikey Fresh said some real nigga shit. I can picture that shit for real, shits dope. See some hoes shakin dey booty while this song playing you mad drunk with flashing lights, matter of fact hope that shit happening tomorrow night lol.
Its str8 females gone love it so ill follow suit but cole still a fool for giving this away lol
I don’t think Work Out or this are instant bangers but by the third listen you are head nodding and singing along. Slow burners are earners. Folks that hit the blogs are more likely to want super lyrical (which they’ll get on the album) but they want the singles to be that too. Which guarantees your fave artist won’t push units and may get pushed off their label situation.
Words I Never Said worked because if you didn’t listen to the lyrics the song still banged because of Alex da Kid and Skylar. HiiiiPower knocks but most of the public isn’t paying much attention to the lyrics. Still no word on the units Kendrick pushed are there? That is a lyricist conscious album #Section80 not a commercial hit album.
You want more for Wale and Cole commercially? You are going to have to deal with a few of these.
because your dark and date some one lighter than you doesnt mean you hate yourself it means you are intrigued by someone different from you. i’m light and i like dark woman cause we make that flava swirl and we look dope together. self hating would be dating a white girl. light skinned people are black too. when i get pulled over by the cops i definitely get treated like a black man not a light skinned black man. WE’RE ALL BLACK U DUMBASSES!!!!!
with that said i think workouts gonna b a big hit too
^
this track will out-shine Work Out mos def. No hatin’, jus sayin. It’s fucked up but it’s the truth. Beat=better, hook=better. Club material. Girls iPod material. Radio material. HIT material.
this wont be bigger than chillin was i hope i eat my words though cuz they need to win
this > j cole’s “work out” song smh
Am I the only one who thinks this sounds like Col’s song? I mean Cole is on 80% of the song. lol If they just dropped a link with no title or nothing you would think this was a Cole single.
@TVA , im somebody that likes super lyrical shit and I understand singles should be able to crossover but a slow burner is not what hot is. Listen to this song then go back and listen to the singles off his first album. Chillin and Pretty girls were hotter and if its not really hot on the first listen that does tell you something. Will it go well in the club? Probably but there are more then 20 hit club songs with the words “Bitches get low , bitches get low right now”. So I think Wale just played it safe because to be honest almost all songs about girls will work if they make it to radio. I think people think there are rules to having a single and thats not true. You dont need a club song for the girls to get hot. You can make a smash with anything as long as its dope. Wale did ok but as for something original or something that really says his album is a game changer , this song doesnt really say that.
dopee..this has to be a Just Blaze produced/co-produced track cuz he has that “heeeyyyy heyyyy” in the song and alot of Saigon’s songs have that in them….if it’s not Just Blaze, I’d sue.
@T Vizzy
Cole produced this..
@marty mcfly Chillin’ and Pretty Girls were huge records in my opinion and then he bricked because the netizens said he had “lost his sound” and “sold out.” So his built in fan base didn’t show up and are normally not purchasing customers like that anyway.
Now with MMG he’s getting a second look and is playing the game better than he did the first go round. Interscope MADE him put Gaga on the record. They MADE him put a bunch of light skinned joints in the Pretty Girls video that led to all that backlash.
Now he’s with folks that will let him do him and folks who support should support. He’s been dropping like a track a week for month’s now. I respect the hustle. 4am/Bait/Bad Girls Club/600 Benz… All of More About Nothing. I wasn’t fucking with him till More About nothing. Then I went and sat down with Attention Deficit and saw the error in my ways. I’m a fan now.
As far as a formula? No there really isn’t but if you aren’t getting radio and club play it’s that much harder to push units, period. Khalifa without Black & Yellow is not the Khalifa we know today. Currensy earns but he’s not anywhere near a forefront. He’ll eat but he’ll tour like a madman. It all depends on where you want to be in the game. “Is it better to be underpaid or over rated?” These dudes want to win AND satisfy their base. They have to work out how to do both. The last game changing legit album was probably from Kanye since So Far Gone wasn’t an actual album and was neutered as a paid release. Those are few and far between.
Great artwork, decent record. Stoked on Ambition non the less.
TVA
FINALLY! Someone who gets that mainstream singles can’t ALL be lyrical dope tracks like HiiiPower or anything else!
______________
This is kind of dope. Wale is about to blow up and this will help Cole get into the mainstream as well. Not to mention Work Out debuted on the charts? A couple more steps and these guys might really BLOW UP.
Every time you say a mainstream song cant be lyrical theres gonna be somebody to come prove you wrong.
i duno if people realize cole released a double single on they ass. genius shit, this might aswell be his joint he shines enough on it. another hit just more promotion and radio exposure for him for real. that hook is money.
That hook is hella catchy… But Cole took a L??? retarded. Cole is doing fine. Good to see Wale and Cole working together.
Words I Never Said was a lyrical single but it’s popularity had nothing to do with what Lupe said. He did that record at MTV Spring Break and those drunkards were dancing along. Not because they are anti Beck, Limbaugh or Obama but because sonically it’s a hit record. Nobody gave a shit what Lupe said.
^^That’s what I’m sayin’.
Marty Mcfly, when looking at the mainstream, you have to look at the most important demographic. You not aimin’ for the Hip Hop Heads. You not aimin’ for the Rock fans. What you aimin’ fo’ is the fuckin’ teenaged HOODRATS AND WHITE GIRLS! Hahah. Why you think How To Love doin’ so good?
Wale aka good burger nigga + A. Hole = the rap Milli Vanilli. LMAO!!! these niggaz are the Milli Vanilli of rap. the song is so horrible that both these niggaz couldn’t even out shine each other. they are equally trash. A. HOLE YOU PAPOOSED YOURSELF.
Tna shut the fuck up u weren’t an A & R at interscope for the first album…so what r the wale stans excuse gona b if this shit don’t pop?
@TVA , you blame Interscope and Lady Gaga and the girls in his video for his first album not doing good before you blame Wale? You cant do that cause Wale had the position to make his album do well at the end of the day. As for Lupe , Words I never said was not his first single because you gotta look at the leaks before that. Shinning Down and Im beaming were huge songs without radio. Everybody who likes hip hop liked those songs and that played a huge role in Lasers being sold. I always use Jayz as an example and thats because he calls himself the blueprint. I could name others with lyrical songs but ill use Jay and leave the rest for you to look for on your own. Name me a better radio song then Empire State… Dont worry ill wait , then consider the lyrics. It worked all the way across the board and there are alot of other hit 1st singles that were lyrical.
Not to mention almost every single from all of T.Is albums before No Mercy were huge radio hits and were lyrical. Go back to Rubberband Man ( Trap Musik ) , Bring em out ( Urban legend ) , What you know about that ( King ) , You Know what it is feat. Wyclef ( TI vs TIP ) all they way up to Live Your Life feat. Rhianna (Paper Trail ). Those songs have dope lyrics for a single.
^^^
But Jay is already a legend and established artist. So if he drops a lyrical single or not, the kids will still buy it because of the right person on the hook or beat. I know a lotta kids were continuously bumpin’ Run This Town for fuckin’ weeks!
….Dope perspective though, MM
@Marty McFly. Your arguments are like doughnuts you talk around the issue and have holes in them. Wale’s entire album was a lyrical masterpiece. Chillin showed cleverness with it’s punchlines, while pretty gilrls a tongue and cheek piece about superficiality and escapism. Upper echelon artist have creative freedom. Let’s not forget the early jay, can I get A ? Big pimpin etc. All good songs just didn’t have much substance. Listen to Wale and j.Cole’s body of work thus far majority of it substantive. Wale has a growing but changing fanbase. He is the most underrated lyricist in hip hop but his most well known verse is from no hands ! It’s sad but it’s the truth. He is shifting gears from having lyrical content that is too deep for most people to clever wordplay with commercially successful songs. I’m not a Ross fan but officer Ricky does have a string of hits and all gold albums. Taking it back to you jay-z comparison that is exaclty Hov used to gain his throne talk about mainstream material but approach it differently/ better than everyone else. There isn’t a correlation between good music and the radio. I play CDs or the itrip.
J cole can make killer tracks like HiiiPower and bangers like this. Track is crazy. You dumbasses need to stop criticizing music so much. Its not healthy.
@Houseofstark , You mention Jayz Can I get A but not Hard Knock Life from that same album. Then you mention Big Pimpin but not Do it again from that album. Wale suffers because he doesnt pick a lane to be in , one minute hes a lyrical MC then hes a commercial party rapper. One minute beats from 9th wonder , then hes bringing go go music back then next minute beats from Lex Lugar. One minute he does songs with Black Thought next minute Waka Flocka. Hes trying to please everybody so of course hes gonna end up only pleasing some of everybody. You call his first album a lyrical masterpiece , well count how many lyrical songs are on it then count how many songs could be used for party music. Wale aint trying to be your favorite MC , hes trying to make money and he does it by trying to be a little bit of everybody instead of making clear about who he is.
As for J Cole , until he gets better beats all that shit hes speaking on doesnt move me.
@marty McFly. Stop talking circles concede when your argument falters. The conversation was on singles not albums, I doubt jay could ever go an entire album that isn’t mostly lyrical. Wale is from d.c if you understood the Washingtonian culture you would understand attention deficits album line up. Our nations capitol is complicated even geogrpahically. It’s location right above the Maxon lines influences the culture. D.c
s a combination south and the northeast . Gogo music is the music of the district of Columbia. People there like to dance and party. The ghetto full with trap houses is mere blocks away from the white house. Economically and socially is a thesis worth of info. D.c is the city of range which wale demonstrated on his debut. If you didn’t buy the man’s album don’t decide to be his manager via blogs.
@marty mcfly
Maybe Wale’s is all of the things he shows in his songs. Why cant he be lyrical one time and then a party rapper another time? Theres a lot of great rappers who constantly change lanes. (Nas) “Is it Oochie Wally or Black Girl Lost?”
We dont even need to talk Jayz cause he kills everybody all they way across the board with albums , lyrical songs and commercial songs so any argument you can start with me about Jay you’ll lose. 2nd if were talking singles then all the singles I named from T.I is further proof that you dont need club songs about girls to dominate radio because those songs were lyrical and not about bitches getting low and they killed on the charts and in the club and in radio. The same bullshit you talk about that goes on in D.C that influences the music , happens in every ghetto all across america.
@Chicago , if a rapper wants to be everything and everybody thats cool but you have to be good at it. Wale is good on subject driven songs about something of substance. Nas was not dope on Oochie Wale and neither is Wale on songs about strippers. Other then Pretty Girls hes alot better on when he picks a topic of thoughtful subject matter.
Where is Tupac when you need him. Same niggas talkin about the same shit. Educate the youth on somethin positive & uplifting. While were headed to the worst recession ever and a New World Order is folding in our eyes.
Im not arguing what Wale’s best at here. Im just saying if hes staying real and doing him then who are you to tell him hes doing it wrong? I dont know him but maybe hes not making a conscious effort to be the greatest, maybe hes just making music that he likes and if you’re feeling it great, if you’re not, whatever. Its not strictly business for everyone and you’re not his managers, no disrespect.
@marty McFly you can’t admit when you are wrong ! This is hilarious. It’s called versality all great artist have it. The difference is artist like nas common and jay became great in a different era. Wale is an emerging artist give him time to develop and construct a lane for himself. B.o.b is a sellout. Wale is just regrouping, doing what he has to do so he can do what he wants to do ?
I fucks w/ this song. It’s pretty tight.
@Chicago , im not telling Wale nothing because I aint talking to him right now and I never said I didnt like his music but everything has pros and cons. @HouseofStark , you say its just Wale showing his versatility then you call B.O.B a sell out when B.O.B is really being himself. Hes really playing his guitar , he aint frontin on stage like when Wale was wearing Gucci Mans jewelry in the Pretty Girls video. Wale can do everything but this single was predictable bottom line. Hes not an emerging artists and he should have never had to worry about regrouping.
Now tell me what have I been wrong about this whole conversation? Starks
cole worlddddd down for whatevaaaaa
guess we can close the discussion about cole being able to produce or be a part of a hit song, get used to hearin this on the radio and the clubs.
yo martymcfly i never seen a more fairweather rap fan in my life, first you on coles nuts and turned on him the first chance you could cuz he wasnt makin what you wanted to hear. the fact is these rappers need to fuckin Eat too. wale went the introspective route and sold dick with his first album, now hes on a more party/street oriented label and is doing what he needs to do, featured on arguably the biggest radio record of the year with No Hands and is rebuilding his brand. there will be plenty of the depressing intrspective shit on the album im sure, this song is gonna do what it needs to do. P.S. Cole World
@marty mclfy You make bold statements with weak evidence. You take a hypocritical approach. You will say whatever to make a point. You don’t care about facts or right and wrong just wining an argument. I will agree with you on the point wale is at his best with concept songs. He is such an unmatched lyricist he can rap on an array of topics.
@theweekNd , name ONE example of when I was on Coles nuts? I thought so , now take his dick out your mouth.
@HouseofStarks , you say my statements are weak but yet you agree with one of my points and I shut you down on a couple others. I WIN have a nice day. I HAVE SPOKEN !!!
It’s frustrating as a Cole fan to see him producing all these tracks that he raps on. I wish he would just recognize that he’s not Kanye West and work with some producers who can really let him shine as an emcee. He can spit his ass off, but he needs to keep his eye on the ball IMO, this production thing is not his strength. Not at that level at least..
And Wale being unmatched lyrically? GTFOH
@FACT
As long as I can get my sesame chicken and chicken fried rice in the New World Order, I’m good. I’ll move to China if necessary…
@Marty McFly when did you ever shut me down. I agreed with the one actual thing you said. I’m a realist I go for truth at all times. I don’t shift my opinion to win arguments. This is a music blog and we are in the comment section. I don’t see how you making idiotic remarks constitutes winning but you are most likely losing at life. At the end of the day I’m real and you are a hypocrite.
this shit sucks balls dont be merciful just bc its supposed to be a radio traxk. i would never bump this ever way too soft n flaming
WALE AND COLE FLOW ON THIS >>>
@martymcfly
return of simba… boom roasted.
listen i dont give a fuck if u like cole /wale or not but make up ur mind kid. for someone who seems to think he knows something about the industry i dont understand how you could hate on this. wait for the albums. and if you not on coles dick why are you on every cole post witcha troll ass.
100+ comments
Yep.. Wale still killing it
Your argument about Wales first album being a LYRICAL masterpiece? NO
Your argument about Jayz not having much substance in his singles? NO
Your argument about how Wale raps over peoples head? Hell No
Your argument about Wale constructing his own lane and BOB selling out? NO
Everything else that you imply with your scatter brained statements? NO
Your attempts to sound smart by trying to discredit anything ive said? NO NO NO
Shall I continue… You sound stupid. Now im wrong about what exactly? I thought so and BTW my life >>>>>>>>> yours
Marty be mad
@theweekNd , ive already given a well broken down of my opinion on Cole you missed it. I have repeatedly said that I dont like or hate Cole. Why? Good subject matter but off balance delivery and bad beat choices. You bring up Return of Simba? Please dont make me laugh and I have said im waiting for the album but people like you keep saying Coles name and then mine. How many times do I need to say im just waiting on the album?
YOU MAY NOT LIKE THIS SONG BUT THIS AND WORK OUT WILL BE IN THE CLUBS WHILE YOUR BITCH IS GRINDING HER ASS ALL OVER ME. YOU HATERS COMPLAIN ABOUT EVERYTHING.
You are a failure at debating and life. I don’t base my intelligence around the opinions of blog addicts like yourself. I presented sound arguments and gave supporting details if you can’t comprehend that, your problem. You are on this blogs an exceeding amount of time, people with lives don’t do that on a regular basis. Saying “No” doesn’t refute or dispel my points it’s just lrepeating the word you hear when you ask people out on dates. Work on your comprehension skills.
all this fuss over singles?…ook whatever lol
Pretty Girls > Bad Girls Club > Chillin
so far so good in my book…it’s like another no hands track…it’ll get a lot of play in the club not the radio IMO…i dig it and putting j. cole’s name only helps because the hook is catchy…Wale has been real focused lately so i can’t wait for the album…
all this arguing over jay-z’s singles and all that…don’t forget, it’s just a single…yall bashed HAM and it’s a bonus track now lol…so relax…maybe wale and cole are doing the same thing…just wait
@Houseofbullshit , So dont START shit you cant finish , you spoke on my opinion and then you backed up nothing of yours. You supported nothing soundly or with any detail. So whos comprehension needs work. Every comment you make I just further destroy your opinion so just be quiet and dont worry about me cause you aint on my level kid. In no way shape or form.
Marty…at the end of the day this is going to be a club banger and a radio hot whether you like it or not. When you arrive at yo girlfriends house (which I truly doubt you have, but aaight) she’ll be playing THIS song. A video is on the way so it will get plays on MTV etc. too. As for Wale…please stop talking shit about his work ethic…what bothers me is that none of your comments seem to make sense. You talk about NOTHING really. Just let thus song be…stop being mad doggy,shit fucks you up.
@Marty McFly. You just wrote a paragraph and said absolutely nothing at all. You haven’t destroyed me in anything. You don’t know the difference between losing and wining or logic and ignorance. Keep spewing mindless thoughts wrapped in bitterness and hate.
Nothing about your comment made any sense so go back and read again. When did I say I dont like this song? , when did I comment on his work ethic? What about my comments dont make sense? And no my girl dont fuck with Wale music clown. Now are we done?
@Houseofbullshit , almost all my comments expose your ignorance and shit on your logic. Im done with you and its no hate because im laughing so hard I want to thank you for the good times.
You mad doggy? I bet yo bitch bump Fat Joe. Does she also think he’s as good as Nas? Haaaaa bitch ass nigga, you thought we forgot bout yo epic stupid ignorant comment? Nah doggy, all eyez on you.
@Noswag , again you dont read to well so go back and read what I really said about Nas and Fat joe.
You exposed your own ignorance and destroyed yourself which I gues you will continue. Good luck getting a life and finding maturity.
yall are way too committed to proving youre right on the internet. Sometimes you just gotta let shit go.
^ ^ I agree thats why I don’t waste my time on these C sections nomore. It be the same people arguing about the same thing on different posts,But anyways I think this song is good and better than work out in my opinion and Im just gone leave it at that.
First listen this sing was DOODOO. Second listen, it sounds good. I hope they get the mainstream success that they deserve.
C’Mon….I need this to be that Wale breakout
IMMA RIGHT THIS IS IN ALL CAPS LIKE THAT DUMBASS NIGGA, NYC/BROOKLYN:
J. COLE’S SINGLE, WORKOUT, JUST DEBUTED AT #85 ON THE BILLBOARD HOT 100 AFTER ONE WEEK ON ITUNES. SO FUCK THEM HATING ASS NIGGAS WHO THINK COLE HAD NO CHANCE AT A HIT W/ THAT RECORD. REAL TALK, DUDES DONT ACTUALLY UNDERSTAND THE MUSIC BUSINESS. THEY JUST LET THEIR EMOTIONS/HATE GET IN THE WAY OF THE MENTAL AND IGNORE FACTS.
Bad Girl’s Club > Work Out
HouseOfStark > Marty McFly
That hurt for Wale. Another monotonous Cole beat.
yall argue too much. we need more stuff like that “lil wayne bars” shit. funniest shit i’ve seen on this site.
LOL the “Work Out” post all over again….CHAMBER OF ECHOES…to my SONS…go to bed y’all…Enjoy it or DONT…Do any of y’all have FUN????? niggaz talkin bout lyrical club singles…which capped in 08′…geez…Have Fun sahn…bitches grinding on my dick on a friday nite is a GOOD thing…why would I hate the soundtrack that is the catalyst to getting me laid…WUTS UR POINT..This’ll get me twerk…therefore logically…THIS SONG IS GOOD.
whoever said BOB aint a sellout is just flat out wrong. the dude got singles handed to him by atlantic. Airplanes and Nothin on You were both declined by Lupe and BOB took them, look it up. thats the definition of a sellout; no creativity, no soul in the music, no reflection of self, he just fell ass backwards into hits. BOB is the definition of a sellout. Lupes album was commercialized by Atlantic and the dude still had the balls to call them out and protest wat they were doing to his work
Lasers in Lupes most successful album and BOB is a successful artist. Would you rather they not be successful? or would you rather they get dropped? Or rather they stay underground their whole career?. Use your brain and think , rappers want success and both rappers have said everything is cool with Atlantic. The label pushed their full body of work until it was a success and your mad? Stop that way of thinking cause its backwards. You say their music has no soul but what songs like this do? If a artist doesnt want to sell his music then he can just keep his music at his house. The object of signing a deal is to sell music.
Did BOB have a positive message in his singles? The labels pushed that message and your mad? CMONSON and Lupe will probably have major success for the rest of his career while you still acting like thats not keeping it real?
Song is dope as fuck. Cole is so versatile with his work, he can do everything and for any of you saying he can’t produce need to take a listen to HiiiPower by Kendrick Lamar and tell me that beat doesn’t fucking bang. You all will see on Coles debut what a true musical genius the man is. I can take Work out and songs like these because they’re still dope to bump now and then and they give a little versatilioty in the music. All of you who are hating on this and workout, go listen to coles part 3 of his interview on hardknocktv. Cole is trying to build a fanbase here. He’s needs to create songs for his entire range of fans, if you don’t like this or work out, go listen to return of simba, he made that for the hip hop heads. The mans tryin to make it big, give it a rest and appreciate his diversity and ability to achieve new levels in his music. And if you disagree, I don’t care, I don’t argue with trolls on a website. Just letting you guys know what the homie cole is about and what you should appreciate.
marty your such a hypocrite its insane, read all your comments last to first
Im very clear on what im saying but its people like you that just hear what they wanna hear. I talked about singles being lyrical and still working. Then I just said BOB did not sell out , those are clear statements. Nobody forced BoB to sign a contract cause any artist that uses the help of the industry to sell records is selling their talent for profit. So is everybody in the game a sell out? NO you kids just hate the fact that your favorite artist have to work with labels but answer this , if you wanted to be an artist and a label said they could give you a multi million dollar platform if you make SOME radio friendly music? You would say no? Honestly you would argue against being on TV and radio and being an international artist? All my statements are clear just read them within the context of how I respond to idiots.
i love how all y’all niggas hating but wale and Cole gonna make more from this song than most of US will in our entire life.
people love to hate the ones who are doing better than them.
good ass song! fuck if u aint feeling it! yall prolly dont know hip hop haha yeaaaaa
^^^ Not me homie , speak for yourself.
@PP52 ^^^
I fell in love with this from the first listen. Shit is nice y’all enjoy yourselfs.
I’m not gonna hate on the song I am just saying that I’m pretty sure that thumbs up button gets smashed just because of the names in this track, it’s really nothing special and I expect more when I see 673 thumbs up. 132′d thumb down right here.
you know what’s funny…. there’s 137 comments and I bet like 5 of you have bought a cd this year. Another funny fact no girls come to this site lol you guys are so out of touch with popular music its hilarious.
Big Sean>both these niggas. keep crying niggas
Chilling was the problem with ADD. It was commercial but not game changing, They should have released nike boots closer to the album and then pushed Pretty girls, which was a banger, right when the album came out.
@Merlin I fail to see your point.
As if we don’t have a life outside the blog. I hear the popular music at house parties, clubs, bars, and the radio.
If this track was by a couple rappers not named J.Cole & Wale it would pass by like a fart in the wind. This is exceptionally mediocre. J.Cole could shit in a bag and his ridiculous fanboys would call it greatness. Let’s be real here…this is nothing special.
Chorus = Boring
Song = Good
youngstown you dumb as hell bruh. Why can’t you understand this is a damn club track. Niggas like you expect Cole and Wale to be lyrical on EVERY song? This was MADE to be catchy. The words ”Bad bitches get low right now” are meant to STAY in the heads of bitches in the club. Chill with the lyrical shit.
With his arguement, I also realize that marty likes to beat around the bush with his arguements. I’m not trailin’ the dude, I’m just callin’ it like I see it. All we askin’ is that you take a point head on, instead of pushing BS that has nothing to do with what others are discussing.
HouseOfStark = FTW
@ swagitout, first of all talking about “swag” is dumb as hell. Second of all where did I say a word about lyrical? Looks like you need to keep out the club & step up your reading + comprehension.
Let me handhold your dumb ass through my comment. If this was the Young Gunz (Young Chris aka the original J.Cole and Neef) ya’ll saying this is a good “club track” would disregard this track completely. Since it’s Wale & J.Cole ya’ll accepting this mediocrity.
You must be one of the bitches in the club you referin’ to if you like this. Sonned yourself…BRUH.
@Pauly Dee , actually everything I said makes perfect sense and is clearly put and there is no beating around any bush and House made 0 points.
His points were the facts that Wale has versatility, not every single has to be lyrical mechanical beasts, and the MAIN point was the way that you address your points, which is flawed. Basically, all of it was used to make you look like a fool…I wanna make a pants on a ground reference right here but, fuck it. That’s played out.
@youngstown
You say I can’t read but you just called me out for my name being ”swag”. THis conversation isn’t even about ”swag”. Why would u start a new argue?. You and your ”if” can go fuck yaselfs. Real Talk. You ain’t reachin shit in your life with the words ”if” or ”woulda”. Let me put it like this. This song is by WALE AND J COLE, and THAT is the reality. Not Young Chris. And how the fuck did I son myself? You and marty mcfly take music way too serious. This is a club track…I hope you and marty find yourselfs a club with lyrical music playing (aka your own house) and you and Marty can have a solo dolo party up in ya basement bitch ass nigga.
I want you two to go back and read my first statement addressing TVA because that is my POINT. Then tell me what about that point do you not understand cause being lyrical was just apart of the whole conversation. The argument was about the range of creativity and subject matter that can be used in SINGLES. YOU are the ones that think everything I say has to do with being lyrical. I could elaborate but I know you wouldnt get it. Back to listening to Little Brother ( A group that is not all about being lyrical but still make great music )
STFU MARTY YOU MAD BASED GOD FUCKED YO BITCH WHILE BUMPIN FAT JOE’s CUPCAKES LOL PEACE
@marty mcfly
Sooo…you’re pretty much saying that Wale shouldn’t be lyrical one moment and party hardy the next, but you then talk about a group that isn’t all lyrical but still makes good music. A bit contradicting?
@ whathuhnigga
Not saying you don’t have a life… I’m saying that this song has a certain demographic its targeting, and it does it well. People talking about this song sucks and won’t play are just out of touch. What won’t play is Section.80 even though the album is fire it doesn’t appeal to any females.
@ merlin24
I understand your point and agree with you that this song definitely has it’s lane but if you think No Makeup off Section80 doesn’t appeal to any females then I’m guessing you don’t know any females. My friend’s girl broke down crying listening to that shit last week
its grown on me, a little.
Both Wale and Cole are great. Their both better than Big sean. And Wayne. These two along w/Lupe and B.o.B. are kee;ing alive real Hip-hop. Workout was a great song. Cole produces like Kanye when he first arrived on the scene w/Through The Wire. Cole is still underground, so his album and singles are not going to go far no matter what. Anyone else realize how undrground the whole genre of rap really is???? Jay-Z’s first number 1 single was Empire State of Mind. Lil Kim is the only female rapper to have a #1 single, and that is Lady Marmalade. Coles a great artist. If youre a real fan when the album drops on 9/27 you will be in stores picking it up. Black people need to support their artist. I download all his singles. But ill drop $10 for his album in a sec. Get it together.
I love how people like to dog J.cole but whenever his stuff is posted on here…it gets the most attention O_o hmmmmmmmmm……..
Man THIS AND WORKOUT plan are ass…Wale isnt the same cuz hes with weak ass Maybach music and J Cole better not be selling out..cuz like i said this song and workout plan are ass…down there in the Drake categories
I paid $32.67 for a XBOX 360 and my mom got a 17 inch Toshiba laptop for $94.83 being delivered to our house tomorrow by FedEX. I will never again pay expensive retail prices at stores. I even sold a 46 inch HDTV to my boss for $650 and it only cost me $52.78 to get. Here is the website we using to get all this stuff, BidsOut .com
JCole shoulda kept this beat/hook for his own 1st single!!! hook is SO ON POINT
#coleworld 9/27…history will be made!
