9th Wonder’s The Wonder Year Documentary Screening (Video)

Last night I had the pleasure of spinning alongside both 9th Wonder and Jay-Z’s go-to engineer Young Guru in Manhattan for the premiere of director Kenneth Price’s Masters thesis-turnt-docufilm on the producer, The Wonder Year (sponsored by LRG). The 80-minute picture was a look inside the North Carolina-bred beatsmith, sharing his world from his humble starts, to his works with the likes of Jay and Destiny’s Child, to his relationship with his Little Brother mates Phonte and Big Pooh. A pretty good depiction of the jack-of-all-trades, I’d recommend seeing it for yourself when it officially drops later this year.

In the meanwhile, check out this visual recap of last night’s event, courtesy of RR.

  1. I hope they drop the documentary on Vimeo. Their channel is serious over there. I love what 9th did with IWWMG.

  2. Who is Kenneth Price?

  3. Kenneth Price has been directing most if not all videos for songs released on 9th’s label.
