While on set of Ghost’s 2Getha Baby video shoot, The Chef speaks a few words. Apollo Kids, available now.

Wu-Tang vocals vs. The Budos Band sampled instrumentation? I’ll take it.
The Budos Band is an amazing 10-piece funk band from Staten Island. The Wu-Tang Clan is the best hip-hop group ever. Put em together and you get The Wudos Band, produced by Tekst of The Higher Concept, producer/engingeer for artists such as RZA, Inspectah Deck, Kool G Rap, GZA, Sean Price, Remedy, Trife Diesel, and plenty of other notable artists; brought to you by Shaolin’s own Cloud Kicker Original and Emilio Sparks. This is a mash-up of classic Wu-Tang verses over beats sampling the gritty funk sound of The Budos Band.

The other day Sheek took to Twitter to announce a Wu-Block album. Many folks assumed it was a full Wu-Tang vs D-Block type project, but that’s not exactly the case. Expect Sheek and Ghost to handle the majority of the rhyming with some help from the likes of Raewon, Styles P, Jadakiss, Cappadonna, Trife and others.
Me and Ghost were just on tour together for about two months,” says Sheek, who is getting ready to release his first Def Jam solo album, Donnie G: Don Gorilla, on Dec. 14. “So every night, we were writing and eventually the idea to do a project together came about organically. The plan is for me and Ghost to front it and to include certain cats from Wu-Tang and D-Block on some songs so that’s it’s a true Wu-Tang/D-Block album. I already told Raekwon, Styles P and Jadakiss that I’m going to need them on some joints. Cappadonna and Trife [Da God] are down. And we’re going to get some RZA tracks, too. It’s gonna be dope.”
