Before heading to NYC for tomorrow night’s Def Jam Cipher Sessions show, TiRon spoke with HipHopFiend about his upcoming Sucker For Pumps project with Ayomari (it’s about damn time).
The whole project is all about women and for girls and for women. But dudes can relate to it as well, because we’re men… It’s actually a very light concept, we just wanted to do an honest project for women; not necessarily where every song is the nicest song, not necessarily where every song is the meanest song, or the song that makes the women dance, but just something that women can listen to, and be like “you know what I respect and appreciate what they’re doing and what they say about us.” It’s just about the relationships between men and women, and how men and women aren’t men and women anymore, like the role reversal and all that craziness.
The 10-track project is looking at a Valentine’s Day release. With TiRon’s No Sleep Til Slawson, Ayomari’s Color and the #goronniesessions coming after. TiRon also goes in depth about his thoughts on the “new west”, getting into hip hop, his musical influences and more. Be sure to check it out here.
KarmaloopTV checks in with left coasters YG, Fashawn, Skeme, TiRon, Diz Gibran and El Prez for a series of questions and a few bars. You can catch all of them performing at Def Jam Cipher Sessions: West Coast Edition @ SOB’s in NYC tomorrow night.
Nothing wrong with posting two MSTRD remix projects in the same day. This time Veterano (Nino Bless, Slaughterhouse, Planet Asia, Ras Kass, Kool G Rap, etc) puts his spin on it.
And the MSTRD remix projects continue. This time TiRon travels back to the 80′s (courtesy of Jonesin’ of Sum Comfort Food). If you like what you hear, grab the full project here.
Sometimes it’s nice to get tracks you weren’t expecting a little bit early. If these two make a collaborative project together this year, I can guarantee you it will be on our year-end list. What You Waiting On up top, the rest down bottom.
Earlier today, TiRon let loose of the a capella version of MSTRD. Now, Hannibal King is the first to give a few of the tracks the remix treatment. If you like what you hear below, hit the jump for the full project.
