With the May 7th release of The Great Gatsby OST approaching, it looks like Interscope is beginning to roll out full versions of certain tracks. We’ve heard snippets of Andre 3000 and Beyonce’s Amy Winehouse cover, Jay-Z’s new song “$100 Bill” and others. Now we get a complete taste of The xx’s offering.
I’ve also included a sampler of the entire soundtrack after the jump.
Straying from the rap world for a minute, The xx dropped a new set of visuals for their latest Coexist single. Take a listen; it may actually make your 9-to-5 go by less painfully.
The London production unit rework the latest single from The xx, Angels, and turn it into something lazy and beautiful. Nice drums. Spotted: SoulCulture.
Just a week and some change after they release the audio of the first single from their upcoming Coexist album, The xx head to Conan O’Brien’s late night gab fest to perform the track for the first time. Dope. Ness. September 11th is the due date…
Man, I’ve not heard from The xx in a while now. Hell, the last time I even seen them was at a free concert in Central Park two years ago. Regardless, it’s nice to see that they’re back with this, the first single from their upcoming second album Coexist, which is available for pre-order now and will drop on September 11th.
