The New Royales – Today

With the latest release from their upcoming mixtape Freedom’s For The Brave, The New Royales pay homage to Jefferson Airplane’s original record of the same name, Tom Scott’s cover and the classic hip hop track that sampled it (Pete Rock and CL Smooth’s T.R.O.Y. for the slow folks out there).

Pitbull – Can’t Stop Me Now f. The New Royales (Video)

Off Pitbull’s latest album, Rebelution, and featuring (DJ Khalil and) The New Royales. I don’t know what it is, but I’ve always thought Liz is super cute. Even with the over-dramatic eye make up.

Jay Electronica vs The New Royales (Video)

The homie Chace Infinite just hit me with this YouTube clip that features a preview of what to expect from the upcoming project from Jay Electronica & DJ Khalil‘s other group, The New Royales (which also features Chin Injeti, Erick Alcock & Liz Rodriguez). If you’re still unaware of how dope this collaboaration is gonna be. The link I provided for their first leak, Posers, is still good. Also, you can expect some brand new shit from Self Scientific in the next few days!

I caught up with Chace Infinite while at Magic this week (above) and after a few threats, I managed to get him to promise he’d send some new music my way. Despite his shit talking, Chace is a good dude haha. I met him a few years back and we’ve been having random AIM conversations and whatnot ever since. Here goes a brand new joint featuring DJ Khalil’s group The New Royales which was recorded back in early 2007 but never got realesed. Shit is dope! Then as a added bonus, a very much needed recorded off the upcoming Self Scientific X Sick Symphonies – The Black & Brown Project, which should be dropping in 2009. Also, be on the lookout for two Self Scientific albums! I personally can’t wait. Change is one of my favorite albums.
