I’d been holding on to this track for a while. It didn’t quite fit the “Synesthesia” sonic field, but I loved it too much to let it just sit here. Plus, I love performing it, so now I have a reason to throw it back into the setlist with the band. So enjoy: This is a good old-fashion ‘snap-for-three-minutes-on-a-beat’ type shit.

Nashville’s own Dee Goodz join The Kickdrums on their newly released free EP The Higher featuring the likes of Sza with production by Alex Fitts, Tilla, Anna Yvette, and Trouble Andrew. Stream the nine-track project after the jump.

The Nashville native will drop a collaborative EP with producers The Kickdrums, The Higher EP, next week.

Shortly after Lana Del Rey’s National Anthem video (which co-stars A$AP Rocky) was released, a collaboration between the two surfaced on the net. A track that was originally supposed to land on The KickDrums’ We Are Leaders project but was held for A$AP’s debut. Turns out the song was unfinished and leaked without permission, as A$AP took to the Twitter to release a little steam.

In response to that, The KickDrums state that they had nothing to do with the leak themselves.

We didn’t leak that “Ridin’” track. I was as surprised to see it on the web as everyone else. Whole thing is weird to me. Song just pops up outta nowhere & theres an official lookin cover and shit. call my manager like “what is this?”

Out of respect to Rocky and all parties involved, we immediately took the post down upon finding out it wasn’t official. Hopefully we get to hear something official in the near future though.
