Amongst speaking on such things as his acting role in the 2001 film, Baby Boy, with Tyrese, Snoop Lion joined Sway In The Morning to speak on his past conflict with the Tupac, last moments with Biggie, and his gang-banging past.
Here is the flick that documented Calvin’s transformation into a Fraggle Rock member Rastafarian, which ultimately resulted with his 12th album inspired by the spiritual movement (which is out now).
Calvin stopped by Sway’s morning show a little bit ago, where he opened up on the final, physical conversation he had with ‘Pac (alongside Suge Knight), his opinions on the rift between Drake and much more. Since I can’t get it to stop auto-playing, check out the entire 27-minute interview down bottom.
With help from his daughter Cori B, Snoop Lion performed his Reincarnated single “No Guns Allowed” (sans Drake) last night on The Late Show with David Letterman. The album — which is in stores now — is projected to sell approximately 17-19,000 copies in its first week.
Snoop joins The Breakfast Club to talk Reincarnated, his transformation into “Snoop Lion,” the west coast, Kendrick Lamar, and more. Hit the jump for the second part of the interview.
Now that his docu-flick dropped today you can also listen to Calvin’s foray into roots, reggae and dancehall with this stream of his new album, courtesy of Noisey.
“It’s a powerful song and we hope to spread a positive message that hits home with people,” says Snoop Lion. “We’ve seen too much bloodshed involving guns and we want to prevent the next incident from happening. That’s what’s it all about, trying to bring awareness and push love and peace.”
Snoop’s anti-gun message gets a visual treatment. Reincarnated drops April 23rd, with the DVD dropping April 16th.
