Yes!! The project I’ve been waiting for is finally upon us (sort of). We still aren’t told who the producer is for the next Felt installment. Nor do we know who Slug and Murs have dedicated it too. But… clues will be revealed soon!

Last night, I came home to this lovely surprise. Slug & Ant released another free EP for their fans! And I would’ve posted then and there but Rhymesayers’ site was in overload and it was going in and out. So here you go, 7 brand new tracks from one of my favorite groups in hip hop.

Third single off The Grouch & Eligh’s latest release, Say G&E, which is in stores now. Featuring Slug (of Atmosphere) and Amplive (of Zion I) on the production. Yes, the album has been out for a little while, but the duo is now offering the single up for free download. So I figure it was worth a post. A video is also in the works as well.

Peter Parker and Slug talk about Soundset ’09, Twitter and more. I have to say, I’m extremely bummed that I won’t be making it to Minneapolis this week. I spoke with my specialist today and he informed me that with my condition it wouldn’t be smart to board a plane. How fucking lame is that!? Anyways… I hope for the best to all the artists performing and all the fans able to attend. Should be a fantastic experience. Thanks for the shout in the beginning Mr. Parker. It’s appreciated.

While it’s still unsure as if I’ll be at this year’s Soundset (thanks to the fucking health issues smh); the fact is the dopest hip hop festival is going down this weekend! And with that said we finally get the video footage of Slug’s time on B96 with Mr. Peter Parker that I posted the audio for last year!

I posted a clip of Aesop recording his verse the other day, imeem launched a stream, and now I have a download for ya’ll. Diabolical Fun (the album) available now! It’s really dope to hear Illogic, Slug & Aesop on a record together again. Now all we need is Blueprint & Eyedea to jump on and my WishfulIndieFanBoy side would be complete. You hear that!? We need and Orphanage reunion!!

I’m just about to head out and get my left forearm done up with some ink by my man Cali, but I wanted to get this up before hand. I’ll do a full catch-up when I touch down in Vegas later today. Last night I had a blast at Paid Dues. Met a lot of artists (these three included) and some pretty great footage (which I’ll be uploading soon enough). Before that though, the good folks at AllTheWayLive uploaded a high quality recording of Atmosphere & Brother Ali’s performance in Sweden last Summer for the 3 The Hard Way tour. Rhymesayers >>>>>>

While I was busy consuming one of the greasiest slices of pizza I’ve ever seen (had to soak up the alcohol from last night ha) Kno put up a brand new record off the upcoming CunninLynguists album, Strange Journey Volume One. When Tunji sent the heads up I was hyped! I’ve been wanting Slug on some Kno production for the longest and this definitely doesn’t disappoint! QN5 and Rhymesayers combine to reflect on the separation that being an indie artist can bring. Now if I can somehow convince Slug & Murs to branch outside their respective circles and get Kno to handle Felt 3 (no shots to Ant of course). Anyways… this song will be available as a limited edition 7″ vinyl pressing (which will also include Nothing But Strangeness featuring the Looptroop Rockers and Hilltop Hoods). In the above clip, Slug talks about how him and ANT have switched up their live show throughout the years. He also goes in about the formation of Felt (his collab effort with Murs, for the slow folk) and the possibility of a third album. Honestly, if you haven’t seen Atmosphere perform live you’re missing out. Slug is honestly incredible on stage. I’ve seen him take control over thousands upon thousands of people and just throw them in a trance for their entire set. It’s pretty crazy. I haven’t been able to fully experience Atmos perform When Life Gives You Lemons, so I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t excited for Paid Dues 2009. March 28th!
