Prepare your verbal armaments for this impending song…
Shyne is ready to get back in the spotlight and tomorrow XXLMag.com will be world premiering the formerly incarcerated MC’s new song, named after his South American homeland, “Belize.”
Featuring posthumous appearances from former Bad Boy label mate The Notorious B.I.G. and Bob Marley, “Belize” finds Shyne Po rhyming over a laid back sample of the reggae legend’s track, “Sun is Shining.” – XXL
Jamal Michael Barrow Moses Michael Leviy graces the cover of XXL for the first time in a couple years, but instead of it being a reprint of his old “Fuck Diddy” pre-prison interview, he actually has something new to say. They better ask him about that damn Eli Porter-sounding voice he’s now using. I respect you’re trying to not sound like the “old” Shyne, but you still sound like that when you’re not rapping. Everybody has accepted and moved on from that incident, Po. Understandably it’s much harder for you to do so, but going so far as to willingly sound like the equivalent of a dying Cookie Monster isn’t helping matters either. Just do you – the real you – and nobody will even think twice about it anymore. But what do I know, I’m just a guy that sits in front of two computers every day.
Can someone please tell Shyne the hair is not working.
For those that wanted it. Here goes the explicit version of the street single of Shyne’s upcoming Def Jam release, Guess Who. His handwritten lyrics (yea… me neither) are also included after the jump.
With the recent barrage of terrible tunes from JamalMoses Michael Leviy; I felt the need to bring us back to a time when Shyne Po was… not the Shyne he is today. So here are two joints off his self-titled debut that I had on constant repeat a decade ago.
