Lexington, KY’s DJ Goldmouf took it upon himself to compile a collection of tracks from both Devine Carama and Sheisty Khrist. Including cuts from their 2010 collaborative project Only Built For OMG, previously released solo cuts and more. Stream/download after the jump.
With a title like “Knob Creek” I wouldn’t expect anyone else except Sheisty Khrist to make an appearance haha. But the song itself, is more than the whisky it derives from as JustMe shares…
“Knob Creek didn’t start off as a song about racism, but when you try to do a song about Kentucky, it’s liable to come up. It may manifest itself in less aggressive ways, but it’s still alive and kickin’. If I may propose a toast… to finding unity in diversity!
Back in early 2011 Devine Carama and Sheisty Khrist dropped off their collaborative effort OMG. A visual for Statue hit the Dopehouse the other day. And now we’ve got a track that was originally left on the cutting room floor. DC’s thoughts can be found below.
Me and Sheist were in a zone where we weren’t worried about singles or fan bases or none of that. We were just trying to be as lyrical and creative as possible. We called it “style warz” because our styles are so different so it’s almost like we are sparring on tracks at times and I think this track exemplifies that to the fullest.
Track 15 of Sheisty Khrist and Devine Carama’s OMG project gets some matching visuals.
Hip-Hop has a terrible memory. If it doesn’t exist in the here and now it simply does not exist. Like all music Hip-Hop is the arena of legends. We should construct a statue for every single one of these artists. If you know at AT LEAST 10 of the names listed in this song give yourself a tremendous pat on the back. If you know LESS than 10 you get The Gas Face. Peace!
With DC’s new album Heart Of A King dropping today, I figured I’d let y’all hear one last joint. Featuring Marcus Wilkerson and the big homie Sheisty Khrist. Like what you hear? Grab the album here.
Imagine if Malcolm wanted peace and Martin held up the glock?
So Marq just goes right ahead and hi-jacks Deacon and Sheisty for their Niggaz Wit Latitude original, gets Deacon to revamp the beat, Sheisty to add a few bars and shows Pack the door? Alright then! Haha.. it’s a QN5 thaang beeyotch.
Deacon the Villain and Sheisty Khrist’s collaborative album turned one this week, and they drop a visual reminder for it. If you haven’t copped the project yet you can head to their e-tilt to stream and purchase the entire thing.
Since Vital Films decided to run with it for their weekly winter ski series (The Expansion, shown above), the good folks at QN5 decided to release the Niggaz Wit Latitude track for free download.
Fresh of the heels of Niggaz With Latitude, Sheisty Khrist returns with fellow Kentucky MC, Devine Carama, to bring us another gem. OMG features collaborations with Deacon The Villain & Natti (of CunninLynguists), Canibus, Nemo Achida, SunnyStylez and more. Listen to and/or buy the album right now at SKDC.
Stream only, per request. You can also check out their video for Touch Ya above.
5th video teaser from Deacon the Villain & Sheisty Khrist. If you have followed since the beginning you’re aware of the inherent distaste the family has for Terrance & Nolan (pka Sheist Cube & Sleezy D). The tradition continues as their angry uncle promotes their new album (in his own way).
