Chace Infinite – I Would Have Killed This (Trailer)

Here goes a trailer for one of my most anticipated mixtapes of the year. Chace Infinite’s I Would Have Killer This. And while I patiently wait for an upcoming Self Scientific project, this will settle my nerves just fine. Khalil + Chace = (2)dope! Disagree and get e-shitted on by an elephant. September 2009!

Self Scientific – Good Evening Los Angeles (prod. DJ Khalil)

Ever since Chace started releasing tracks off his upcoming mixtape (I Would Have Killed This), I’ve been in serious need of some new Self Scientific material. And today my need has been met as I just got this new joint off the upcoming Soul Assassins album, (Intermission, June 23rd). Wheeew, DJ Khalil is an absolute demon haha; and Chace Infinite is an emcee I advise none of you supposed hip hop heads sleep on.

Chace Infinite – Personal Relgion (prod. DJ Khalil)

Second leak (and first official track) off Chace Infinite’s upcoming mixtape, I Would Have Killed This (details can be found here). This time the Self Scientific emcee goes in over what would become Jay-Z’s Mama I Made It. I’ll let Chace give the background though..

This is a joint called Personal Religion that I did before Khalil actually gave the beat to Dre. I hadn’t come with the hook yet, and by the time I heard Jay’s version, I realized it was probably in the stars, he killed it. This is the first vocal version. Whatever..Khalil’s shit makes you reflect and think deep, the proof is in Jay’s song as well…he wrote a joint to his moms…WORD. Personal Religion, no hook, just raps….I Would Have Killed This coming soon.

Chace Infinite – Know It’s My Year (prod. DJ Khalil)

Niggas think cause Khalil working with Dre, that ya’ll shoulda had a big deal/
How you figure I feel? It’s been 15 years and the public just barely open their eyes still!

As said on the official Self Scientific blog, fans of SS should know that a lot of the songs Khalil produces for other artists were originally ideas for Self Scientific. That being said, Chace decided to put together a mixtape over beats Khalil has done for others; and title it I Would Have Killed This. A very fitting name for anyone who knows Chace’s abilities. And why not — for the first leak — go over one of the most talked about tracks of the year?

Mos Def x Self Scientfic (Video)

Mos Def stops through the Prohibit NYC store and got to hear some of the new Self Scientific album. Damn, I’m beyond jealous right now… Self Sci is one of the dopest emce/producer duos out there. Chace & Khalil? Sheeeeeit! The joint playing is called Jetski, and might not even make the final cut. So Chace… if it doesn’t, I better get an email with the damn .mp3 haha! And despite internet rumors, Mos Def is still dropping The Ecstatic next week so be sure to support that real hip hop!

What’s in the Tapedeck v.27

Considering I had no internet the whole time I was out in Phoenix for the One Stop Shop and I was fighting off the pain from this ear fuckery (I’m losing btw) I ended up missing a few joints. So what better way to get back on track then with another installment of What’s in the Tapedeck. Three weeks in a row suckas! New music from Papoose, Add-2, AZ (sort of), Stuart Little, Cory Gunz, Nas, Scarface, GLC, Grand Puba, Sadat X, Juice, Rock City, Self Scientific and more! Check these three and hit the jump for rest…

Defari – Show Some Luv (prod. DJ Khalil)

It’s been a good 2 years since I’ve heard anything solo from this West Coast spitter. And what a way to make a comeback. Over some (2)dope DJ Khalil production. It’s looking like this will be the first single off his upcoming album, Work Hard, Play Harder.

Phil the Agony – Think Green (rmx) f. Mitchy Slick & Chace Infinite

Tunji shot this over yesterday and I forgot to post. My apologies. Anyways… Mitchy Slick & Chace Infinite (Self Scientific) join Phil the Agony on the remix for the title track off his eco-friendly solo album; which drops digitally on April 22nd (Earth Day) and in stores May 5th. You might remember the original featuring Talib Kweli. For more information and the tracklist hit the jump. And incase you aren’t aware… it’s the YearOfTheBlackSmith!

Joell Ortiz – Too Soon (Biggie & Pac Tribute) (prod. DJ Khalil)

The wild thing about this is that I was listening to Self Scientific’s Change and I kept thinking how ill it would be to get the Slaughterhouse crew over some DJ Khalil. Sure enough, today we get 1/4 of the Slaughter doing it! Big ups to Ortiz for paying homage to both of the fallen legends. Off Joell & Khalil’s upcoming project. Joell Ortiz Covers the Classics is on it’s way too!

Bishop Lamont – Bitches On My Dick x Missile Testing [NoDJ]

DJ Khalil is a fucking monster on the boards. That’s how I had to start this post. Just check how he does it on the latest from Bishop Lamont. I also included a NoDJ version Missile Testing which featured a nice amount of warning shots towards some select West Coast artists. Shouts to OS for the bonus. The Reformation coming soon!
