Part two in our new Produce Section series, a collaboration between the dopehouse, Nicolas Heller & Cluster Magazine which highlights great artists in the making. Today’s episode focuses on producer Falside.
Like anyone born in ’89, Falside’s growth has paralleled that of the hyper-media-tech age–he is ready to evolve and redefine himself as the world changes around him. It’s in the way he executes his own graphic design, marketing, and mixing, and it’s in his approach to production; Falside embodies the now generation mentality of DIY everything, cigarettes and coffee.
In the same way heads name-drop facts like “DOOM used to be in K.M.D.”, they say “Falside produced for Jeru the Damaja, Stalley, and Action Bronson… by 21.” And for the record, those artists are a mere chunk of his prolific discography. Falside’s history spans collaborations with artists that any devotee would recognize, whether you’re from the ‘golden-era’ camp or the ‘indie folk-rap’ contingent.

We are proud to present “Guts” the new video from Providence, Rhode Island’s wordworker Juan Deuce and beatsmith, Falside. “Guts” is Directed by Nicolas Heller (Ricky Shabazz and the Boom Bap Boys) and is presented/honored by Rik Cordero, the acclaimed hip hop video director for such acts as The Roots, Busta Rhymes, Rick Ross, Q-Tip, Snoop Dogg, and The Clipse, as an official selection for his Directors Hub series. “Guts” is a song from Juan Deuce and Falside’s upcoming release, “The Mechanics EP” which is slated to drop on Tuesday, November 22nd, 2011 for free.
