Malice, Pusha T, Ab-Liva and Sandman of the Re-Up Gang have joined forces with Andrew Kelley for Volume 2 of the E1 Music exec/beatsmith’s Cracksploitation remixtape.
Sponsored by Kelley, DJBooth.net and with 2 exclusive videos with 2DopeBoyz.com, the street album features exclusive a cappellas by the Clipse and Styles P., as well as never-before-heard verses from Juelz Santana, all backed by Kelley’s own boom bap-inspired boardwork. The result is, in the words of Dipset‘s DukeDaGod, “a motherf*ckin’ classic.”
In addition to 14 tracks’ worth of hot new material from the Re-Up Gang, the project comes complete with two exclusive videos created by Kelley and Matt Bauer.
Next week, the dopehouse will be dropping a brand new mixtape from up and coming producer Andrew Kelley. Cracksploitation v.2: The ReMixtape is an unique take on classic “boom bap” samples and production for the Re-Up Gang’s raw cocaine flow. Up top is a preview of what to expect and down bottom is the download link w/ an exclusive Styles P verse.
Part 2 of Sandman’s interview with Ms Drama jumps off with her feeding him words as he goes off the top. After that slows down, he talks about his upcoming project, his career in the industry, not talking to the Clipse since the break-up, a Re-Up Gang reunion, his thoughts on Rick Ross and more. Dude speaks a lot of truth. Am I lying?
Another batch of interviews with Ms. Drama. Above she sits down with Pusha, Malice and Ab-Liva to talk about Pharell, not being with Star Trek Ent and more. They also drop a few bars. Then you can hit the jump for interviews with Slim Thug, Yung Berg and Project Pat.
Lamping in the studio with Swizz Beatz. Hopefully he won’t be screaming all over the hook as well. This album can’t come soon enough… Courtesy of the R-E-U-P-B-L-O-G.
On a semi-related note, BK Cyph hit me up last week about how his mans and ‘em hit him with a Play Cloths letterman jacket for gratis… Watch your back, Cyph. Props to URB.
If the Clipse can drop a new mixtape today, then why can’t Sandman? The former Re-Up Gang member releases his latest, hosted by Superstar Jay. Shouts to Doe DoLLa for sending it through (four times).
Sandman is pushing on after his split with the Re-Up Gang. Readying another mixtape, #1 Supplya, coming soon! Young Gotti, Roscoe, Dundidit & Tristar joint Mr. Cannnnoooooooon over some Tekneek production.
Well this isn’t a great way to end the day now is it? We threw up some news over at the plantation where Sandman basically says he’s done with the Re-Up Gang after the fuckery that went down with the official album. Ab Liva is still runnin’ with the Clipse but it just won’t be the same imo.
We gave y’all three critically-acclaimed mixtapes just to give y’all this toilet bowl-ass album and their video. To me, it’s unjust. The fans are onto it now too, ‘Damn, that’s it for the Re-Up?’ Cause now all you hear about is [The Clipse' forthcoming album] ‘Til The Casket Drops’. The Re-Up Gang has been phased out; I guess I was just supposed to play along. I’m not no fuckin’ nut! – Sandman
I guess in an effort to make their recent release better, Bionik tries the Black Album Remix approach to the Re-Up Gang’s last album. I’m sorry, but I’ll always be a fan of the original. As a bonus, here are a few cuts featuring the Philly half of the crew as well.
Here goes a nice little treat for ya’ll. My man William just unleashed a Maestro produced joint that was supposed to make the Re-Up Gang album but didn’t because they couldn’t clear Joss Stone’s vocals. And for those disapointed Re-Up album fans, be sure to check Speech is My Hammer for some interesting details that hopefully will calm your nerves. Ease up! Sidebar: DJ Z just had an interview with Pusha T where he speaks on the difference between the album and mixtapes, etc. UPDATE: Hit the jump for the Clipse latest interview with UrbanDaily where they speak on the album, Officer Ross, Kelz and more…
Sandman, 1/4 of the Re-Up Gang, is readying his latest mixtape, Gianormous. Above is some footage at the video shoot for the first single, Anchor. The YouTube description says the mixtape is supposed to be available for free at Yeahhhcannons but the blog is invite only. I’ll keep ya’ll updated. Until then, download the single. Shouts to OcTo! Ya’ll re-up on the Re-Up Gang album?
