After hearing the news of MJ’s untimely passing, The Game got in the studio and put together this tribute song. Link courtesy of DJ Skee. UPDATE: After a few listens it seems as if it’s just The Game, Chris Brown, Polow Da Don & Diddy on the track with samples from the rest. *shrugs… I really don’t care. Oh and I also added the tagless version that The Game posted prior to Skee. Shouts to Buck on the heads up.
I figured Tanya Morgan would be included sometime but I was definitely not expecting them to go over Rich Boy’s Drop. #54 and counting of DJBooth.net’s Freestyle Series.
The Timberlake x Timbaland duo is not to be fucked with imo; but the clip above is proving that there is something ill in the works from these two. Dope! I need another JT album, make it happen..
Now this was unexpected. Let’s let Travie explain…
Open Happiness was created in the spirit of dedication and collaboration with artists and producers from across the US. It turned Coke’s famous “5-note tune” into a full length song. Butch Walker oversaw the recording of Travis McKoy and Brendon Urie in NYC, Cee-Lo and Janelle Monae in Atlanta, and Patrick Stump in LA. Butch Walker and Polow Da Don came together to mix multiple versions of the single, and add additional recordings. This continent-wide collaboration is now realized in Open Happiness. – Travis McCoy
Rihanna gets her boyfriend to jump on a new record produced by Polow Da Don (see: she threatened to practice abstinence if he declined) . Chris Breezy rapping? Nah, I would’ve preferred another duet like the Umbrella (rmx). Dah well… shouts to UrbanMusic.
Damn, it’s been a minute since I heard something from duke. and his mixtape that dropped way the fuck back in April is still a problem. His album, 5 Million, is supposed to drop next year. Spotted this over at OnSMASH.
Should be apparent why this post was made. *looks up. Yep, that’s right. Lil Wayne joints the lovely Ms. Hilson over a Polow Da Don produced joint. I also included a snippet of a brand new Weezy joint, courtesy of OS.
