The good folks over at Akomplice Clothing just released their new psychedelic Magic Plant series lookbook; which features a few BEASTCOAST representatives… Pro Era’s Kirk Knight, Flatbush ZOMBiES’ Erick Arc Elliot and Phony Ppl’s Elbee Thrie.
These three were hand selected by young upcoming photographer Jessica Rose Lehrman as fitting candidates to represent Akomplice’s Magic Plant series. Each piece of clothing portrayed is printed with fauna that is either stimulating, psychedelic, euphoric, or in some cases all three. While the visceral interpretation of the Magic Plant line is apparent through psychedelic filters and photographic after effects, the connection is deeper in that each of these artists stand for progress in their own right. This type of avant-garde lookbook where the focus is equal parts subject, clothing and filters, holds true to Akomplice’s ethos of evolution through innovation. Whether it’s hallucinogenics or deep meditation, Akomplice firmly believes in tapping into a deeper consciousness which they depict through the Magic Plant lookbook. All items are available now at the Akomplice webstore.

For their latest visual release, the collective take it back to to last year’s Phonyland. And if you haven’t already, be sure to grab their Nothing Special EP as well.

I was just listening to A Portrait Of Donnovan this morning; it’s a great listen, for those who haven’t heard it yet. This Emile-produced track gets a dope set of visuals.

Yesterday, the talented groups from the Chi and Brooklyn link up for an ode to Ms. Mary Jane. Hopefully this isn’t the first and only time they guys get together as this is quite dope..

As promised, the Brooklyn squad follow up their Phonyland album with a brand new extended-play. Tracklist/download link after the jump.

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the debut album from the 9-man collective since I first pushed play back in January. Since then, it’s been rather quiet as far as releases go. That is until now… as OKP just premiered the first single from their upcoming Nothing Special EP that is due out next week.
