This past Wednesday, the Halftime Radio crew, consisting of DJ Eclipse and DJ Riz (what up DJ Skizz, Petey Cologne, Navani & Dharmic X) celebrated their 15 year anniversary which brought out a whole bunch of legendary MCs, DJs and producers, including Ill Bill (go get that Grimy Awards album!), Malik B, Nems Guttah, Sadat X, DJ Q-bert (!!!), Buckwild, Lord Finesse, Showbiz, Esoteric, Scram Jones and much more. The homie Petey Cologne who holds it down with DJ Eclipse at the Halftime Radio Show recently released volumes 1 & 2 of his Sound Travels projects. Part 1 was recorded at a Stones Throw event in April of 2012 which showcased Homeboy Sandman. Part two is also just as dope. Hit the break for both mixes.

Here’s a mix Petey Cologne recorded live at the now legendary APT in NYC, which has since closed it’s doors for good. DJ Premier & DJ Eclipse hosted an event called Like They Used To Say every third Monday of the month. The mix features some ill samples, plus it’s an all vinyl mix.

All originals, funk, breaks, soul classic r&b treats. Alotta warmth, snap, crackle and pop in the mix. Enjoy!
