While being chauffeured around town by DJ Absolute, The Chef speaks on OB4CL2, which is scheduled to hit shelves on September 8th. Look for the single to drop in “approximately 10 days”.
It seems The Chef’s long awaited follow up to the classic Purple Tape has been pushed back yet again. Although this time, Rae promises it’s set in stone. Hit the jump for the artwork…
The Chef sits down lays back with HipHopChronicle to talk about a variety of things.
In the first part of the interview, Rae talks about why he put Criminology 2 as a buzz record. The Chef tells me he’s in talks with people from Hollywood to do movies and revealed that he’s planning to drop a documentary to coincide with the release of the album. We talk about lyrics in Hip Hop and the importance of it to an emcee like him. He gives his main ingredients to being a dope emcee and having longevity. And to end the first part, Rae lists the people and albums that he feels people should study to learn more about Hip Hop.
The Chef and the rapper slapper connect on this new joint, that was provided by Splash. I also included a bonus in which Rae jumps on a Serani cut. Both aren’t featured on OB4CL2.
