Phonte, Nicolay, YahZarah, Zo! and Darien Brockington sit down with SoulBounce to talk shop about Twitter (yhuuck), The Foreign Exchange music, upcoming projects from the entire crew, what would happen if Barack Obama cut a record with Auto-Tune and why they would never do a reality television show. You already know the comedy that comes with Phonte speaking. So check it out! Also… hit the jump for some footage of Tigallo doing his 1 2 thing during a performance at the Winter Music Conference in Washington, DC.
I don’t usually drop alternative sounds this early in the day, but these tracks that e-dub sent through were kind of nice so I figured, “Why not?” If you’re digging the T-Dot songstress’ style, hit up her website for more content.
I met Small Eyez during the A3C Festival that went down in ATL earlier this year, great times. Anyways… here goes a new joint he did with Nicolay that will be featured on DJ Jamad & Nicolay’s upcoming Afro:Collabo v.1, which drops October 14th. Be sure to check that out. Jamad is dope as fuck. Hit the jump for the full artwork on the single…
You already know that the dope boyz are loyal supporters of Foreign Exchange, and now their first single has finally dropped. After what went down with the 88-Keys post I did a while ago, I won’t yoke the song from their site and slap it up here, but you can hit the link below to cop the song off their site. Phonte was nice enough to let it go. Chea!
If you’ve followed us for a while, you’d know that we’re both huge supporters of illadelph halflife’s AEON. Me personally, “Girl Talk” is still ridiculous on every level. Well, this time he updates the Time:Line single, and actually shows Polow how to make a beat without snatching it off GarageBand.
Philly’s own AEON strikes again, this time remixing Panacea’s cut from their 2007 album, The Scenic Route, for the group’s own remix album, The Re-Route, featuring fellow luminaries Nicolay, DJ Numark, DJ Spinna and others, coming soon. I guess it goes without mentioning that Che Grand’s “Girl Talk” has been one of the more incredible tracks I’ve heard this year so far.

Final part to the mini documentary on the making of the new Nicolay & Kay album Time:Line. The album is out now and is ridiculous! Make sure you cop it.
