A week after the Bulls beat the Miami Heat to end their 27-game win streak, Life+Times flew me out to Chicago to spend a few days with their All-Star forward Luol Deng. In what is easily the best shoot I’ve been a part of since joining the team, we follow Deng from the Bulls training facility to his home and end up at the United Center for their match-up with the New York Knicks. In the 20-minute doc, Luol goes into detail about his days at Duke, responsibilities to his team (which showed in his absence during the Bulls losing efforts against the same Heat team in the playoffs), making the 2013 All Star team and his humanitarian efforts in expanding basketball across his native country of South Sudan and the rest of Africa, plays FIFA with his boys (shouts to ANTHM) and prepares for game time. Click play and let us know what you think!
Now that tonight’s excitement is over, the playoff bracket is now finalized and we’ve got the schedule for the entire first round (provided after the jump). Take a look at the match-ups and get to talking trash in the comment section below. Who do you got getting out of the first? Taking it all? Let us know.
Over the weekend you might have caught this clip of Lil Wayne where he goes on to express his distaste for the NBA and the Miami Heat. Claiming the National Basketball Association has banned him from all future events and that he had sexual relations with Chris Bosh’s wife Adrienne. Well, according to the NBA’s Senior Director of Basketball Communications Mark Broussard says there is “no truth at all” to Wayne’s statements.
The other day I totally forgot to publish the post for Game 2 and therefore we didn’t have an open forum to banter. Now wanting to repeat that, I figured I’d get this up as soon as possible. South Beach is the spot, 8pm EST is the time, 1-1 is the series. Who y’all got pulling ahead tonight?
This aired tonight, so if you missed it because of other obligations (such as attending ANTHM and Blu’s show at SOBs or the MMG madness at Sin City) you can catch up here.
David Stern’s match made in heaven are getting ready to square off in Game 1 of the NBA Finals. Y’all know the drill… who y’all got? Let the debate and discussion during the game begin.
Alright folks, this is it. Winner goes on to square off with Durant and the Thunder in the NBA Finals. Will LeBron have another stand out game? Will the veteran Celtics be able to pull it together for one last run at a ring? Who y’all got? UPDATE: DAMN, the pre-scheduled post didn’t work! Haha… fail. It‘s a was a CLOSE fourth quarter though. Who’s coming out on top!? UPDATE 2: Heat/Thunder, next Tuesday.
Two teams I love to hate just started their battle for Game 6. Celtics win, they take on the Thunder in the Finals. Heat win, they’re off to Miami for Game 7. Should be a great game. C-section is free for all. UPDATE: Game 7 it is.
Yesterday, during halftime of the Thunder/Spurs game, we got to see this extended preview of the upcoming documentary surrounding The Dream Team. And after watching… you’d be a damn fool if you missed out on the premiere, which goes down June 13th at 9pm EST on NBA TV.
2 Chainz is the latest hip hopper to take a seat at ESPN’s First Take table. During his time with Skip Bayless and Stephen A. Smith, they discuss the Spurs/Thunder series.
Wish we’d had more time today for 2Chainz – tennis got us. Sorry. He was funny, knew his stuff. Lent me a huge gold chain. Call me 1Chain.
Of course Mek didn’t make a post for the last game when the Lakeshow won haha. Then again, he didn’t make a post for the Spurs/Clips earlier today either. Anyways, game four is going down shortly and LA is looking to even up the series. Y’all know the deal, hit the c-section and get your jibba jabba on..
