Nas will play The Moody Theatre at Austin City Limits performing his entire 1994 debut LP Illmatic to close out the SXSW Music Fesival this coming Saturday and VEVO, who will be hosting the event, caught up with Mr. Jones. Nas speaks on his inspiration behind creating “Halftime” and “One Love.” Courtesy of Complex.

Last year, I had the opportunity to witness the Openair Frauenfeld Festival first hand as I was on tour with CunninLynguists. Such an amazing experience and from the looks of the line-up for this year’s festival I’d say the folks across the pond are in for one helluva treat. Interesting to see 50 Cent, Nas and Rick Ross performing at the same event. Those are just the headliners though. You can also expect performances from Mos Def, J. Cole, Mac Miller, Yelawolf, Jedi Mind Tricks, A$AP Rocky, Royce Da 5’9″, Dilated Peoples, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, and more.
We’ve all seen and heard Nas’ single “Nasty,” and the majority have said it’s a “return to form” for the Queens MC. Speaking briefly with the Rap-Up, Da Internz (Rihanna’s “Birthday Cake” and Big Sean’s “Dance (A$$)”) reveal that those waiting on his upcoming tenth solo LP should expect more of the same. Dopeness, if this is true.

Although the actual title (rumored to be Life Is Good) is yet to be confirmed, Nas took to Twitter to wish Jungle a Happy Birthday and more importantly announce that he’s wrapped up his new album.

Now, if Def Jam can come through with some solid promotion we’d be straight. Hopefully the release date isn’t too far away.

Well, that’s the word on the streets internets as of late. Obviously nothing is concrete and everyone is just going off talk, but how dope would this be? I mean, we haven’t heard shit from Common and Q-Tip since they announced The Standard back in ’07, but that doesn’t mean it’s never gonna happen. Imagine a 10-track project with the quality of Ghetto Dreams. Yeah that…

I posted a stream of this last week, now here goes the CDQ/explicit version. And for those doubting the authenticity of this or thinking Ap just took the original and pieced together a remix, think again. This is that official ish. The Re:Generation Music Project film in (select) theaters now. The image? *shrugs… she came up when I put “dj premier nas apathy” in Google Images. Complaints?

K’naan takes Nas on a tour of Toronto in his music video for “Nothing to Lose” off the More Beautiful Than Silence EP. From Queensbridge to T.O., see where the Canadian musician grew up above.

We got a snippet a little while back back, now here goes a stream of the entire thing.

For the past couple weeks, VICE and Project X (you know… that party moving hitting theaters on March 2nd) have been sitting down with “notoriously crazy celebs” and having them share their most absurd party stories. Up next is Nas with a tale from the hood.
