Madvillain – Monkey Suit x Never Go Pop

DOOM all capitals, no trick spelling

Earlier I dropped info and snippets for Madlib’s reworking of one of my favorite indie releases in the 2000′s (MF DOOM x Madlib, Madvillainy, cop that!). Although it’s not the official sequel I’ve been in dire need of for the past few years, Madvillainy 2: The Madlib Remixes does a great job of creating a new sound and gives us something to enjoy while we wait… and wait…. and wait. OKP dropped No Brain on the internets yesterday and I’m gonna drop two more joints. That’s it though. Hit up StonesThrow and get your own!

Reks – 2dopeboyz Freestyle

If you don’t know, Reks’ new album Grey Hairs is available now. So be sure to put some money out and cop the real deal! I’d be lying if I said this album wasn’t extremely dope and what I think a lot of people are looking for right now. In light of the release, Reks recorded a quick (I do mean quick) freestyle for us dopeboyz and the plantation. What up Reks!? Statik!?

Clipse Present Re-Up Gang – Money

I was wondering when a new joint would leak off the upcoming Clipse/Re-Up album. And the time has arrived. Here goes Money, courtesy of Steven! August 5th bitches!

Freddie Foxxx – How to Rob 2008

Bumpy Knuckles gets in over Curtis’ jump in the game record and takes aim at the new age people. If Foxxx came to me and demanded something, I would give it to you him haha. Shouts to AlwaysHustle.

Big Lou – Destiny’s Life x Memphis Bleek Bonus

Streetsweeper’s Big Lou drops another joint on us today. Lou shines most when he jumps into story telling mode (imo) and that is exactly what he does here. Big shouts to Lou for this. Video coming soon! And since I’m headed out for a bit (again, no internet) here goes a random bonus. Memphis Bleek is…

September 7th – Western Hospitality 9 (Mixtape)

It’s the 7th of the month so you know Vegas’ own September 7th is dropping another heater. Western Hospitality 9 (Blu Division Edition) features music from the usual suspects Crooked I, Bishop Lamont, Roccet, etc as well as a few up and comers K Boy, Young Fresh, Bullet and more! Next month, don’t expect a new tape as Sept is holding off to drop a killer double-disc on September 7th.

Ras Kass – B.I.B.L.E. (prod. Tha Bizness)

Another banger off Rassy’s upcoming Institutionalized v.2. I can’t recall really liking v.1 as I felt Ras Kass slipped in his lyricism. Hopefully things pick back up this time around. Yessir!

Donny Goines – Wordplay (prod. DJ Static)

Here goes a brand new joint from Donny Goines, which was originally recorded for his upcoming album but didn’t fit the overall theme. So he’s throwing it out there for the people who love innovative and creative rap.

B.G. – Ya Heard Me f. Juvenile, Lil Wayne & Trey Songz [Dirty/CDQ]

I guess I told a fib below. Although I did shut the laptop down, I’m now sitting in the airport for an hour. And why not take advantage of their free/fast wireless service. It’s rare you find free wireless around here. This track has been leaked like 4 times. With a DJ, a radio rip, a shitty version, etc. Here goes the final CDQ version of the 75% Hot Boys reunion. Shouts to X for sending it through. How many dopeboyz and dopegirlz out there were bumpin Guerilla Warfare & Get It How U Live back in the day? The Hot Boys, the Hot Boys, we on fiyah! Haha… Threw in a Jacki-O/B.G. joint for a bonus. I think it’s been leaked already but whatever…

Promise – Change f. Kam Moye, Probz & Royce Da 5’9″

Sorry about the lack of updates! I saw it getting called out in the comments ha. I have spent the entire day recouping from last night. I don’t think I have been that far left field in a long time. Shouts to my dudes Nick, Tino & Veto for showing the Shake a great time. Had a blast. From what I’ve read this is supposed to be off the upcoming Barack Obama Yes We Can mixtape from Green Lantern x Russel Simmons. Regardless Royce, Supastition Kame Moye & Probz hope on a Promise track to insist change. UPDATE: After my man Promise told me that this is actually his single and it’s featuring the three others I HAD to bring this back to the top and let everyone know, cause this is a big record for him. I knew the rapping sounded familiar. I (along with everyone) missed that one. Shit!

J.Rocwell – Handbags

I was sitting on this track for a day or two but since I follow the unwritten rules in this blogging shit, I let it breathe on my harddrive until the illRoots fam premiered it. See, Shake is nice (at times). Unlike some of you blogs that don’t care about shit and will post at will just to try and get some internet fame. I’ll leave that alone. Check out the new single from J.Rocwell. The Diary 2 coming soon!

Lyriciss – The Hope (Mixtape)

The first time I heard Lyriciss was when amanda shot me a song from the DMV emcee that had a shout out to 2dopeboyz. And since I’m self centered as a *shut yo mouth* I had to give him a listen based of that alone. To my surprise (not really) he has talent on top of a great blog-choosing mind. Dropping this mixtape on America’s Independence Day for the dopeboyz and dopegirlz out there. See ya’ll next post!
