As MeLo-X starts the Writing, Producing, mixing and mastering process for his next Project “More Merch” he found time to Bless us with a freebee of the same name produced by Ryan Leslie. Last Week Ryan Leslie released a Video For a song He was working on called “Fast Life”. MeLo was so inspired that he Jacked the beat straight off of Youtube and Created this gem.

Early last year my partner Atif Ateeq of VANENYC and I started a Documentary Series to show my band preparing for our first big show at Blender Theater. This year we decided to bring it back with new content and some fresh new ideas for the direction we want to take it. Which is more personal. The self-proclaimed Renaissance Man is back as Mustafa the GodKing. Having written, produced, recorded, mixed, mastered, photographed, and art directed the project all himself. MeLo-X wants us to join his awakening as he surprises us with a quick strike release via OkayPlayer. With no singles, no release date, no trailers, no leaks, no tracklisting preview, no promo…The god just wanted to bless us with music.

Chris Faust teamed up with the MeLo-X, to create a great rendition of MeLo’s, “Basement Jaxx Rework” record, titled “ZephyrXtra”; off of his recently released Audio Foreplay album.

MeLo has been working on this sampler for some time which is only right to give you the best music he can. This year he wanted to focus on his production to show his progression as a producer. On this sampler he touches on a bit of everything (hip-hop, r&b, soul, reggae, dance , electro, house, UK funky and world music) and it’s crazy how he infused all the different genres on this mix and included some of the best artist in the indie world today. This is the first leak off MeLo-X’s upcoming Audio Foreplay, dropping March 15th. Audio Foreplay serve as a precursor to MeLo’s first official album Sonic Intercourse, dropping in the summer.

It’s been a year since my debut mixtape Mustafa’s Renaissance Dropped on OnSMASH. I am proud of how far this mixtape has brought me and how much supporters Ive gained over the last year. I want to say thank you to the many websites and Blogs who supported me from day 1 and continue to support me to this day. So in celebration of the mixtape im dropping MR1.5. This is a FreEP that has some of the favorites from Mustafa’s Renaissance coupled with music that was released after the Mixtape came out and unreleased features and Beats. For my real Supporters and fans I included some of the material from my Amy Winehouse Remix Album that came out in 07 and also a track featuring Supreeme from ATL.
