I’ve been reading Malice’s book for the past few days, and while its free-form style sometimes dips into a jumbled, confused chaos (it’s like if you were telling a crazy story to a friend) it’s still a pretty interesting read. Anyways, while Pusha ran wild in Texas Malicious stopped over at Brooklyn gear spot Vinnie’s Styles to sign copies of his debut novel.
Malicious’ debut novel is available now; you can get your copy it right here. Meanwhile, I don’t know whether to laugh or smirk sardonically at this one, so I’ll do a little bit of both. Props to Mikey.
Up top, Malicious speaks to iStandard about his novel (which is currently available now; you can get your copy it right here). Meanwhile, at the Village Voice he opens up a bit more about his brother joining Kanye’s camp and why he fell back to write, among other topics…
Do you feel any jealousy toward your brother, who now gets to share the stage with Kanye?
I think it’s great for P to be off on his own. Any blessing for my brother, I’m happy. Especially because now it’s only gonna get bigger for him. And at the end of day, if I need to borrow a dollar, he can loan it. We’re still doing Clipse music. It’s just . . . I told him I have to write this book. He understood. I couldn’t do rap right then. I let him read the book. He thought it was phenomenal. He encouraged me to move forward with it. How can I do anything less for him?
Would it be wrong (or according to hip hop, blasphemous) to assume that Wretched, Pitiful, Poor, Blind & Naked is going to be better than Decoded? I wonder why it only has a modicum of the latter’s promotion, however [/sarcasm]. Anyways, the book drops on Valentine’s Day, and you can pre-order it right here. Props to Mikey.
I forgot, I have to be up earlier than before when I’m out West for the time being. Anyways, here’s a set of visuals from Ab-Liva and iCan’s Y.E.S. v.1 project, which is out now.
*roffle* at Donwill of Tanya Morgan being the first shot of this video. Anyways, I just want to know when the book is dropping, Malice? Props to Mikey.
Directed by : Gene Thornton & Mark Garcia(m3f2u.com) for Re-Up Gang Films
This video is to tie together all the past clips that have been released. Also, according to Malice, there’s a third Thornton brother as well…
“What a lot of yall don’t know is that we have an older brother, and he’s had kind of a rough life. He’s had bouts with drug addiction, alcoholism, and child support riding his back. On top of that he’s in his own Furnace of Affliction. “
While the elder Thornton brother is focusing more on his upcoming novel, he still hasn’t put down the microphone. Here’s a freestyle he just dropped over at the Play Cloths’ site. Props to Mikey.
