For this week’s installment of Foundation Fridays, Coalmine Records reached out to Monstar Films to create a visual backdrop to the M-Phazes remix of Midnight Madness. Which served as a parody of the 1980 cult movie that bears the same title. The remix is featured on the Midnight Madness Remix EP which is available now on iTunes. PS… I’m back.

Since I’m flying back to Vegas from Toronto tonight I figure it’s only right to drop some music from both before hand. First off is an apology. Story goes like this… last week I put up a joint from Promise that wasn’t supposed to be leaked for a few reasons. Being the real cup that I am, I can admit when I’m at fault. There was some confusion within the email and I didn’t get that it was for my ears only. My apologies to Promise and the producer at hand. Promise felt the need to apologize as well but he’s an emcee… so his comes in the form of a song. So M-Phazes… blame it on me.

So it’s official. Both dopeboyz are residing on the east coast for a few weeks! Here’s some footage of Australia’s super-producer & winner of Sha Money’s One-Stop Producer’s Conference doing what he does while out in NYC. Remixing a beat around a hook that was originally intended for Pharoahe Monch.
Buff1 is setting out to do several shows out in Australia over the next 9 days and wants to document the travels. You’ll be able to keep up with him as he will be doing short video blogs. Check the first one. And since the dopeboyz are in Australia (for this post atleast) here goes M-Phazes remix of Buff1′s For You, which was originally featured on his debut album, Pure. If you aren’t up on either of these dudes, you need to step your wiki game up and get get get it.

I hinted to this project last week and now it’s here. From my brief overview of the tracklist there’s nothing really exclusive but it’s a dope collection of new music from artists that are in Shake’s favorites list.
