Rah Digga – Never Back Down f. Fashawn & Reks (prod. M-Phazes)

Substantial – Grateful f. Kenn Starr & Kokayi (prod. M-Phazes)

Off Substantial’s Home Is Where the Art Is, available now on iTunes, CD and vinyl.

After being selected by Ebony Magazine as one of the hottest releases of the week along with Kanye West, Jay-Z, and Big Sean, itunes picked Substantial’s “Grateful” as one of their hot tracks. Today we are giving away Substantial’s emotive banger produced by Australia’s M-Phazes: Grateful feat. Kenn Starr & Kokayi. To kick things off, Kenn Starr re-emerges back from the ashes, born again back from the past tense, to reflect on the fulfilment of his dreams, while Grammy nominated vocalist Kokayi carries the chorus to soaring heights. Finally, Substantial jumps in for a reflective verse filled with meaningful word play: “Last words to my daughter would be learn baby learn.”

El Da Sensei – To the Death (M-Phazes Remix) (Video)

Directed by Darius Waters.

Blu – Kiss The Sky f. Mela Machinko (prod. M-Phazes)

Folks spent a considerable amount of time, well, shit-talking Blu over his past musical outputs. Well, now that he’s back to doing music that’s less avante-garde and more nostalgia-ridden I’m wondering if those same people will support. Hm. Anyways, he snapped on this track and if you’re digging it (which I know you will) you can cop it below.

Burke, Torae, Side Effect – Another Classic (M-Phazes Remix)

For the latest leak off Phazed Out, M-Phazes remixes “Another Classic”, which was originally featured on the Philly-based producer’s compilation album Taking Nowehere, Somewhere that was released in June of 2010. The remix finds Phazes layering a brass section over his signature claps that provide quite the fitting back drop for emcees Burke, Torae and Side Effect to lay down the punches. To complete the cipher, Philly’s DJ Waxwork proves to be an equally dangerous man that can talk with his hands… “send it in a package, gift wrap it, stamp it, with a price that’s nice so you can cop it, rip it out the plastic, insert the compact disc and blast it [boom]… another classic!”
