And now, almost one year from the day, Timbaland’s former protégé Danja has decided to preview another joint he and M.I.A. recorded during the same time of recording “Bad Girls” in a new vlog. As part of his “Throwback Track Thursday” vlog series, Danja played the previously unreleased M.I.A. track titled, “Doobie.”

After a brief hiatus, Maya is back on the music scene with the first single from her upcoming fourth album, set to drop in the summer. It’s essentially what you expect from her sonically: a mishmash of frenetic drums, crashing hi-hats and a Bollywood-style flavoring. Props to Pitchfork.
Like many other iconic artists (Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Kurt Cobain, Jim Morrison, etc) Amy Winehouse left this Earth a few days ago at the young age of 27. In light of the tragic news, M.I.A. decided to liberate an unfinished demo that sadly fits the situation.
