Lord Jamar – Lift Up Your Skirt (Kanye West Diss)

This kinda… hurts to hear this. I was raised on Lord Jamar and Brand Nubian’s socially-conscious music, so to see this come from way out of left field is not only unexpected, but really isn’t warranted in my opinion. I mean, people are still worried about how the next man dresses? I’m sure others will beg to differ, however. Leave your opinions down below.

In part 3 of Grand Puba & Lord Jamar’s conversation about their early days in the studio; they speak…

…about their early days and their aspirations coming into the music business, when the game was less about money and more about earning the respect of artists and musicians who you respected. What was your favorite Grand Puba/Brand Nubian song (if you have one)? Mine is Puba’s “I Like It (I Wanna Be Where You Are).” Mikey Fresh also caught up with Puba, and that can be seen after the cut.

Hasan Salaam – The Uprock f. Masta Ace

Speaking of up-rock, here goes a fresh new joint from Jersey’s Hasan Salaam. Taken off his new album, Children of God. I also included the Lord Jamar assisted cut that is featured on the album as well. Tell me it’s not dope to see Ace & Jamar still ripping it!
