Uptown, Drizzy performs Fireworks off his upcoming Thank Me Later, live at the BMI Showcase. Downtown, you can catch a video of him dropping a 16 and then some to the Young Money capo, alongside the rotund father of said capo. Props to Mikey Fresh.
Stones Throws’ newest talent, Mayer Hawthorne, graced the Windy City with an hour long set, performing tracks off his debut, A Strange Arrangement. Among the cuts found on his album, he also performed a few covers of some soul classics and a reggae version of Just Ain’t Gonna Work Out which you will find after the jump. Props to Alex (RH).
Sidebar: Proper KNOWxONE introduction coming soon.
You haven’t seen much (if anything) from ArtOfficial at the dopehouse, but I promise you will soon enough. Starting with these two live performances at Tobacco Road in Miami, FL. Above, you can check a new joint off their upcoming album; then a (2)dope bass & sax solo after the jump. QuESt also joined them on stage and that footage will be uploaded soon.
The above clip showcases Lupe’s first live performance of Shining Down. Then you can hit the jump as Bun B joins him on stage to perform Swang On Em; as well as Drake & The Cool Kids performances. All apart of the Bun B & Friends show live in Houston. Spotted at OneNeckTwoChains.

Since May 15th, Coldplay has been giving away this live CD at every remaining show in 2009 (outside of their festival shows). The 9-track collection was also put on their website for free download. But since I know a lot of the dopeboyz don’t like signing up for stuff; I included a direct link after the jump.
According to the band, the give-away is meant as a recession-busting mark of gratitude to everyone who’s supported them: “Playing live is what we love. This album is a thank you to our fans – the people who give us a reason to do it and make it happen.”
Tracklist + Download link after the jump…
Very dope footage of Mos Def’s encore performance at the Cape Town Jazz Fest.
Mos intros with Coltrane’s Love Supreme into an unreleased song, M.D. (Doctor) featuring David Axelrod’s Holy Thursday played live by The RCDC Experiment (Robert Glasper, Chris Dave, Derrick Hodge, Casey Benjamin). Keeping in line with the effects on Coodie & Chike’s Flowers promo, we created a ‘visualizer’ for this unreleased song… for the fans! Captured by Cognito for Frolab. ExperimEdit by Jelizen for Frolab. Another moment brought to you by the Culture Capture Champs™
The Ecstatic drops June 9th!
I don’t have much faith that this will work. Considering things like this never do. But hey… we’ll give it a shot. The event sold out in 5 hours, so here’s to a working stream and a great show. UPDATE: And the bad comes before any good… Just got word Drizzy isn’t expected to be on until 12EST (9 for the West Coasters). I should be gone before that. I’ve got business to attend to.
The day after Asleep in the Bread Aisle hit stores (and took over the number one spot on iTunes) Asher performed in NYC at the Gramercy Theater. The above playlist features Lark On My Go-Kart, Good Health Freestyle, Blunt Cruisin, As I Em, Be By Myself, Roth Boys (in that order) a Chester French performance and Oren Yoel holding it down for solo. Shouts to Grofoshows on the footage.
Yet another live clip from Drake during his show at SUNY Purchase. Performing his verse from Uptown and speaking Wayne. This one coming courtesy of HustleGRL and Zack.
Some live footage of Drake performing his soon to be monster radio smash (believe it). Shouts to the homie Zack for the clip. Word is, there will be more coming shortly, via OnSMASH. Also… Dre did what I wanted (but was too lazy to do so) by mixing the clean hook (you-the-you-the) with the explicit verses of the mp3. Thanks! Also, hit the jump for the visuals to the audio we posted the other day of Drake’s first radio interview in the states (with the lovely Angie Martinez). This is the entire interview, as the audio YN ripped missed the first part.
