Elton John? Word? Haha… that’s the last person I would have thought about when listening to this song. Off Lily’s It’s Not Me It’s You.
Yo, fuck society. Life is far from over at 30 folks. Instead of worrying about labels and comparing yourself to the next man/woman, live it up to the fullest every day and enjoy the time you have. Lily is (2)dope… It’s Not Me, It’s You in stores now.
On September 8th, Mr. Walker will be dropping his Evening Out With Your Girlfriend EP, with illRoots (and possibly 2dbz). Until then, he’s been jumping on a few choice cuts and remixing them to his liking. These three come via Lily Allen, Martina Topley Bird & the Black Eyed Peas. And yes, I already posted Fuck You in a previous What’s in the Tapedeck. So what…. if you have a problem, replay the chorus haha.
Brand new video from Lily Allen for her new European single; off her sophomore release, It’s Not Me, It’s You. I’m with Liz (over at MyPoproks) on questioning how this joint is getting radio play? It’s a fresh song but how can you edit out the fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck? Haha…
New video for Lily Allen’s ode to you dopeboyz out there that aren’t handling things in the bedroom second single off It’s Not Me, It’s You, which is in stores now!
The last time I posted up a Lily Allen joint, it was received a lot better than I expected. So let’s continue…
Where her cover of Britney Spears’ single got her a slap on the hand ass from her record label; Lily had full permission to rework The Clash’s third single from their 1982 release, Combat Rock. In fact… the cover will be included in the upcoming War Child: Heroes. A compilation which features the likes of Beck, Duffy, TV On the Radio, Franz Ferdinand, etc covering the likes of Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder, The Ramones and more. I included the tracklist after the jump if you’re interested. Look for that to drop February 16th and Lily Allen’s upcoming album, It’s Not Me, It’s You, on February 10th. Shouts to YK for the reminder.
Even though Lily Allen seems to be going the Amy Winehouse route lately, her music is still very much enjoyable. Like this joint for example. Taking Britney Spears single and reworking it for some acoustic pop good’ness. I know a lot of you are asking yourself Why is Shake posting this shit? A. Don’t worry about it. If you don’t like it, skip over the post. It’s not hard. I promise. And B. Lily Allen is dope! Alright Still is one of my favorite road trip albums. Shouts to P&P.
