For the past few years Cease-A-Leo found a new calling as an aspiring personal trainer, and he’s linked with the house of Harris for a new series called Hardbody TV. What’s interesting, I know a few folks that work in the urban entertainment field who are looking into the nutritional/well-being field as a side hustle. Nothing wrong with that at all.

The last cut I truly liked from Cease-A-Leo was “Play Around,” and this will probably continue. But on the plus side it’s nice to see that two crews that once shot at each other (sending Lil Kim up north) can put aside their whole “Hey, you tried to kill me” differences and work on a song together. Or something.

Cease-A-Leo speaks on the “beef” between Lil Kim and Nicki Minaj. File this whole ordeal under “needless shit that’s not good for anybody at this point..

“When I heard about that, I didn’t have no real reaction to it,” Cease said of the flap. “At the end of the day, it’s a real competitive sport in hip-hop. Kim is one of them people. No matter how you look at her, as an icon or whatever, she’s definitely [an icon]. But she’s also an MC. She feels like she still maintains that [top] spot. She still feels like she holds that spot. You can’t knock her for that. But the paying homage thing, when I seen Nicki Minaj with the green hair, when I seen her do similar pictures that Kim has done — I look at that as paying homage. I saw other things where Nicki did pay homage; she said some [complimentary] things about Lil’ Kim.

Directed by some goober named “Doggy Diamonds.” Let’s keep it real, though: Cease has been making musical (and sometimes personal/professional) mistakes ever since he got caught tapping the poo of that chubby back in Junior M.A.F.I.A.’s “I Need You Tonight” video. From posing ass-out naked on the cover of his album, to that doofy kid who portrayed him in Notorious, to getting caught doing the ding-a-ling swing in front of his boys, ol’ boy has had more false starts than Marlee Matlin at a track meet. Sheesh.
