Introducing Lady Gaga’s Version Of Kendrick Lamar’s “B*tch, Don’t Kill My Vibe” (Video)

We feel bad about killing your vibe, so here’s the demo you never got to hear. And the chillun in Rio, and backstage in Colombia. – Paul Blair (Lady Gaga’s DJ)

Obviously this is an unfinished (hence, the whole “demo” part) version, but can we please get a mastered (what up, MixedByAli?) audio version of this track, like, yesterday?

Lady Gaga Explains Her Absence from Kendrick Lamar’s Album

With the release of good kid, m.A.A.d city less than three weeks away, Lady Gaga took to her website to explain why she won’t be appearing on the album.

I apologize to the fans that this situation with Partynausous is confusing. To it clear it up I must explain this. When I collaborate with an artist i work solely with them, not with their camps or management. Its purely organic and creative. I love Kendrick dearly as a friend, but was not willing to compromise musically to the changes his team was making to my music. This is why I am not on his record. I have a very specific vision as a producer and songwriter, and I always have. That song will be released at a different time, for a different project. I love you, and think you should check out his stuff because he is truly great. He’s a good kid, its just sometimes a mad city. – LG

We’re also aware that a snippet to a certain album cut leaked today but out of respect for K. Dot we will not be sharing it. Do yourself a favor and wait for that October 22nd release date to take it all in at the same time.

Your (2)Dope Opinion: Kendrick Lamar & Lady Gaga’s Upcoming Collaboration

One Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta put up the above message on her timeline (as well as the song title “PARTYNAUSEOUS,” set to drop September 6th, before taking it down). We’ve known about the respect Gaga has for Kendrick’s music, and Kendrick has talked about trying to break and bridge the boundaries of “underground” and “mainstream” music. While I’m sure there are a myriad of opinions on this upcoming collaboration (I’m keeping mine to myself until I hear the end product), now it’s the dopeheads’ chance to divulge their thoughts on the c-section below.

Kendrick Lamar On Friendship w/ Lady Gaga

A couple weeks ago, Lady Gaga expressed her love for Kendrick’s music. Flash forward to this past weekend and she’s stage side showing support during his set at the Pitchfork Music Festival (shown above). The Source caught up with K. Dot to get some thoughts…

“That’s a real good friend… a real good friend.” explained the Compton MC. As for a possible future collaboration between the two he says, “God willing …. for now I just like the friendship thing.”

I have a feeling that there will be a lot of folks that are gonna talk shit on this. But why? Lady Gaga telling her 27 million followers monsters on Twitter that she likes his music seems like a good thing to me. Kendrick’s already proven that he can present a more mainstream-fueled song and keep it within his personal touch. So what could a relationship with such a strong presence worldwide do to hurt anything?

T.I. On Collaborating w/ Lady Gaga & Eminem (Video)

Clifford chops it up with MTV about his upcoming album, King Uncaged (August 17th). With roughly 80 songs in the stash, T.I. speaks on his thoughts of Lady Gaga and their song called Lick It.

“Phenomenal talent. Extremely proud [to work with her]. She’s definitely that good. She knows what she’s doing. She knows exactly what she wants people to think and say. She does everything that she needs to be done to ensure it happens. I think she’s an entertainer, in all aspects of the word,” Tip said of working with the Gaga. “She’s a classic, all-around entertainer. A global star.”

When asked about the record’s name, the King couldn’t contain his laughter. “See, this is the this. We gonna go back in and record some more songs,” he began explaining. “But the one we have right now is entitled ‘Lick It.’ I think we both have a tendency to shock the world in a lot of different ways.

He also reveals that him and Eminem are working on a record that is aimed for the club. We’ll see how that goes.

Tip says he and Eminem have grown to become good friends and they have agreed on one particular song — which shall remain nameless for now — for a duet. “It’s in the making,” Tip said of the song. “It just hasn’t been recorded yet. The song has been picked out and it’s been agreed for us to do it. We’re thinking a song that can definitely make its way to the club.”

Nina B – Video Phone (rmx) (Video)

Nina takes a crack at Beyoncé and Gaga’s track. If more armed forces recruiting commercials resembled this video rather than having Keith David’s voice, more people would likely join. Just saying. Props to the BoBO.
