Up top is a brief interview by the 18th Letter, down bottom are his performances at the Knitting Factory.
I’ll let Che explain this one…
11/19 I performed my first live set with my band The Grand Union on the legendary and soon to closed (next month) Knitting Factory’s main stage…..
The Grand Union line up features Hassan (of Sankofa) on guitar, Big Reg (also of afro-punk rock group Sankofa) on bass, Jared Siegel on Drums and 6th Sense on keys (oh can’t forget additional vocals from my dude Von Pea lol!).
I’ve had a lot of great memories @ Knitting rocking Sucio Smash’s Lunchroom events, to drinking a 40oz with J Ro from Tha Liks, and almost getting beat up by Jean Grae for knowing words to an unreleased song of her’s. Can’t forget the time Just Blaze came out for a beat society and damn near deafened the crowd with what would later be Saigon’s “Come On Baby…” have KF stories for days! I’m going to miss that venue…..

At their show on September 11th, the same day this funny little ditty went down (I’m just saying.) And since I know they’re on this site and will see this, someone over there needs to send me that song that samples Double Dragon’s first stage not now, but right now. UPDATE: Nevermind, found it.
Emilio Sparks & Callender chop it up with 88-Keys (above) Termanology & Melo-X (both after the jump) at the G.O.O.D. Music show (09.09) at the Knitting Factory in NYC. Term’s Politics As Usual drops September 30th while 88-Keys’ The Death of Adam drops October 28th! Get ready…
Check out as Mazzi & S.O.U.L. Purpose perform in NYC. Then after the jump for some random footage of Mazzi, A.P. Termanology, Rik Cordero, Kid Cudi, etc at the Knitting Factory….
My man Court Dunn hit me with some cool footage of Rhymefest’s guest appearance at the Royce Da 5’9″ show at the Knitting Factory last month that was put on by my dudes at Same Plate/Hidden City Entertainment. Shout out to Royce (I know you check this shit haha), Torae, J the S, Don Cerino, J Master, etc. Wish I could’ve done more to support and been there to experience good hip hop. Next time! And while we’re talking about such artists… be sure to check out Don Cerino’s latest mixtape presented by HipHopDX, the upcoming J the S project (When In Rome…), CP’s first official release and last but not least (well maybe haha) cop Torae’s debut album, Daily Conversation. That shit is hot fiyah © Dylan.
