Slow times around the internets tonight so I figured I’d bring it back once again. Coincidentally The O’Jays’ original Who Am I was sampled on both my favorite Juelz Santana track and (one of my) favorite Atmosphere records. The latter being a song that I can relate to on far too many levels. Especially the first verse (w/ my son little brother) and second (w/ my pops). The poignant meditation throughout is remarkable in my opinion. One of the reasons Slug will forever stay in my top two, as far as hip hop emcees go. Interchangeable with Jay-Z, depending on the day. Talk about different playing fields, right?
Two tagless tracks off J. Cardim’s Dice Music Group: The IN Crowd. Earlier this week, Butterlfly Effect w/ Termanology, G-Eyez & Emilio Rojas and Connected w/ Red Cafe leaked without tags as well. I’ve included those after the jump.
After a hint and a video preview, the long-awaited Dipset reunion has finally arrived. Big shouts to Miss Info on the linkage. Now if you’ll excuse me… I’m gonna hit The Palms and get white boy wasted.
While it didn’t go down at SummerJam, Cam, Jim, Juelz and Freekey got together on Friday and filmed a video to show the world that they’ve gotten back together. Who knows what to expect next. Hit Miss Info for a little more info and some extra shots. Also, hit the jump for Jones’ latest video for Younger w/ Sen City.
Juelz was on Hot97 with Angie Martinez, to talk about his experiences at Summer Jam, Chris Brown (part 1) and the Dipset reunion that is being talked about (part 2).
Juelz calls into Shade45 to talk with DJ Whoo Kid about the progress of his new album, working with Snoop Dogg, Lil Wayne’s current situation and more.
The visuals to accompany the original song finally drop. I’m still chuckling at how Joell and the Rat King dropped their version first, however. Props to OnSMASH.
