Continuing their convo with AllHipHop backstage at SOBs, Joe and Joell discuss the difference between the recording process for their first album and their upcoming Shady debut.
While backstage at SOBs in NYC, Joe Budden gives an update on Feature Presentation that I’m sure more people aren’t gonna like. Basically saying he doesn’t think he’ll be releasing the project due to lack of participation. Although Blu, eLZhi, Phonte, Emilio Rojas and Yelawolf have contributed their verses already, none of the other artists who already agreed have done so themselves. Damn.. UPDATE: After the jump catch some performance footage from the night.
Before their show at the Highline Ballroom tonight, the four-headed monster stopped over by Funk Flex’ radio show and kicked a few bars. And by “kicked a few bars” I mean “utterly destroyed this freestyle session.”
The four-headed monster Slaughterhouse took their talents to South Beach last night and performed their infamous Shady 2.0 Cypher Live (sans Eminem & Yelawolf) at Cameo nightclub. – AO
First single from the West Coast native’s upcoming project, The Outbreak. On top of the Joell and Pooh, the tape will also feature appearances and production from the likes of Sean Price, Crooked I, Prince Po, Akil (of Jurassic 5), Guilty Simpson, DJ Khalil, 9th Wonder and more.
Before they hit the BET Hip Hop Awards to record their (9-minute!!) Shady 2.0 cypher, the Slaughterhouse machine hit the studio with Novel. In the clip above we get a preview of Joell’s verse off a new Slaughterhouse joint.
Recently, Red Bull sat down with Redman, Joell Ortiz and Schoolly D during their involvement with the Red Bull EmSee series, to discuss the first time they’ve ever spit rhymes on the mic.
Throughout the video, the three successful MCs tell their funny “first time” stories. For Redman, it was the time he performed at Lincoln Park when he was 16 years-old. For Joell, it was the first time he heard a cypher and decided to jump on stage right then and there; and for Schoolly D, his first time on stage he performed “Get Off Your Ass and Jam”.
