During her recent visit to the Stoney Inn in the greater Sacramento area, I recently got the opportunity to speak with Def Jam recording artist, Jhené Aiko. We talked about one of her major influences, the legendary Tupac Shakur, the origin of her connection with producer No I.D and shares information on her upcoming debut, Souled Out. After doing her thing at SOBs in New York City, the LA songstress revealed to The Singers Room that she is in fact recording a project with No I.D. and company and that they will also be featured on her upcoming Def Jam debut, Souled Out.

Me and the Cocaine 80s is made up of musician, singers and producers. I told them I wanted to be a part of the Cocaine 80s. I wanted to be the female voice of the group. They will be featured on ‘Sold Out’. Yes, we are definitely working on a mixtape or album together. That is definitely in the works.
