Months after the original announcement, Madlib finally found an offshore printing press that would give his “mutant porn” cover art a run. A few of the tracks from #13 have been heard on the limited vinyl, Fithy Ass Remixes, but this is the full 35-track ordeal expected to ship March 1st! Check out a sample with Jadakiss and DOOM below.
Tricked ya. It ain’t over yet. #13: The Black Tape is volume two of the Medicine Show remixes which started on #12. This is a 60-minute hip hop mixture with some of rap’s best, half-best, brilliant and borderline-retarded MCs, all colliding head-on with a collection of Madlib beats. Produced and mixed by the Loopdigga.
On top of the release for #13, Madlib is also dropping The Brick. A collection of all 13 CDs from the Medicine Show and all 13 booklets. Look for that to start shipping on March 27th!
Oh, and one last thing. Last night I got word that Madlib had nothing to do with the UCLA album that Blu released. Ain’t that some shit?
