Trying to make it to his Rock The Bells performance on time, Talib Kweli braves a torrential NYC summer downpour while riding through the city on his bike, and runs into some trouble trying to pick Jean Grae up along the way.
Look out for the full episode to hit YearOfTheBlackSmith on Monday. Props to Tunji.

Talib, Res & Graph Nobel try their hand at Busta’s Dr. Dre produced How We Do it Over Here. Idle Warship will be making their proper LA performance debut at The Roxy on Sunset on January 16th, so if you’re in the area… be there! YearOfTheBlacksmith is seeming like a proper name as their has been heat from the camp the past 2 days. Shouts to Tunji.
Idle Warship (Talib Kweli + Res + Graph Nobel) are preparing to release a bunch of new music and video soon, and are celebrating with a show next Monday night, December 22nd, at BB Kings in NYC, performing with a live band along LA’s Blu & Exile and DJ K-Salaam). In order to get folks ready for the show and the new music, the group is unveiling this new video clip entitled “Idle Warship Takes Over Your Party!,” which follows the trio around NYC on a night out, as they record, perform, share their thoughts on artistry and move through the city. It’s a really fresh and original video made by my dude Court Dunn at Restless Films, so make sure you check it out. The video also prominently features the dope new joint “Steady.” “Steady” will be featured on the upcoming Idle Warship mixtape, which will be dropping very soon.
It’s been a while since we heard anything new from Idle Warship, and I was thinking that they may have been just a one-and-done thing. Props to Akram for proving me otherwise.
Tunji the internet ninja (no clue why I just called him that) sent this viral video he and my man J. Master created for Idle Warship‘s (Talib Kweli + Res) new joint with Chester French. Court Dunn handled the editing. Restless Films up in this!
Aww shit. I’ve been waiting for new music from this duo. Thank you! Talib Kweli & Res (together as Idle Warship) get together with MC Chris (word to Master Shake!) to put out this funky new joint. Word on the internets (aka my IM box) is that Talib was checking out 2dopeboyz during a session in Philly. That’s right! Now check out this new cut and check them out on their myspace and leave some love.
