Recently, I engaged in a refreshing conversation with IamSu! and Problem in the middle of their Million Dollar Afro tour and we chopped it up after their in-store appearance at the Getta Clue clothing store. During our convo, IamSu! divulged information about his highly anticipated mixtape Kilt 2, his voyage into the realm of music production and what its like to receive support from popular artists such as Wiz Khalifa. Following that, Problem shares details about his connection with Henry Wrinkler, better known as “The Fonz” from Happy Days, the mission statement behind his Separation mixtape, and a little known gem about an old track he recorded with TDE’s Schoolboy Q. IamSu’s Kilt 2 is scheduled for release June 6th and Problem’s The Separation is coming soon.

Fresh off wrapping his and Problem’s Million Dollar Afro Tour in NYC last week, IamSu! hits us with a performance-style video (footage coming from their sold-out show in San Francisco earlier) for the last video from his $uzy 6 $peed project.
“This video shows where I’m at right now, how I’m transitioning as an artist,” explains Iamsu!, adding that the song has “a vintage Cash Money feel. The track is just pure energy, and Juvenile helped us recapture that sound.”
The beat makin’ rappin’ ass young Jedi also recently took part in the L.A. Leakers’ Leaks of the Industry series with a new freeverse over Sean Kingston’s “Beat It” and is gearing up to release his KILT 2 project on June 6th as well. Check out both the freestyle and official artwork to the mixtape below.

Here is the first, actual offering from Emilio’s new project, Muscle Shirt Diaries No Shame, No Regrets. He’ll stop by Sway’s morning show on Shade 45 this Friday (May 24th) to divulge more details, including its release date.

During a recent-trip to New York, the Million Dollar Afro duo give an in-studio performance of “Ya Understand Me,” speak on how they met, the West Coast’s new sound and the inception of LoveRance’s “Up!” (which IamSu! wrote and produced).
Last night the Million Dollar Afro Tour picked its way to Manhattan’s Santos Party House, and Chachi and HBK performed a few familiar cuts to a packed house as well as bringing out Red Cafe to do a few tunes. Check out some more footage – as well as an interview with Problem – down bottom.
