This premiered over at the plantation yesterday and I decided to give it some burn there before posting. Off that Ridin High LP that everyone should have.

Murs and Roxy Reynolds get together for yet another video off Murs for President. They went through the good, the bad, and now the aftermath sets in. Despite the subject matter of this video, I know Murs had a good time filming it. Exhibit A anyone? How about Exhibit B? Rewatching all three, I really dig this little series. Great stuff Mr. Carter. Great stuff. Shouts to HipHopDX on the premiere (again).

HipHopDX recently caught up with MF DOOM to talk on a few things. From his impostor shows character direction, retirement of the DOOM character, how homo Batman is, masculinity bitchy-ness in hip hop, his family, upcoming projects (Ghostface, Madlib, etc) and more. Great interview.

DX: What’s the status of the album with Ghost?
DOOM: Now that this one is out the way, progress will be picking up. It’s about 40% done. Forty-two percent done, if I had to say. But then it’s hard to gauge because everything is speeding up now, so it could probably be done real fast, within two months I could have it done. Madvillain seems like it’s closer to being done. I’m working on the shit now. That shit’ll be done within the next two months. I don’t know when they gonna put it out. Otis [Madlib] is the producer, so I don’t really have to do too much. I think on this record, we’re mixing it up. I’ll have more production on this one.

Here’s a nice little double up on this slow Tuesday. Before Wordsmith & Chubb Rock release their upcoming collab album, Bridging the Gap, they are dropping a mixtape with HipHopDX (entitled A Crack in the Bridge) on May 12th. I got the album last night and it’s pretty damn good. Just what you’d expect from these two. I’ve included two tracks off the mixtape below. The Words’ track features the ever so dope Soulstice (of Wade Waters). Also, as the image above depicts,Wordsmith was recently featured in Coast 2 Coast Mixtapes exclusive series. I heard there was some wild things that went down off camera when Murs was on Shade45′s Lip Service with adult film stars Roxy Reynolds and Candace Von. Looks like they had a good time as Roxy is now the starring lady in Murs’ latest video off Murs For President. Shouts to HipHopDX on the premier!
