Guess who’s alive. The person responsible for one of my favorite albums in the last few years is currently working on its follow-up, and Truth Studios caught some of the creative process in action.

I don’t know what Hope Wright’s been up to lately, but hopefully it’s working on a follow-up to last year’s Believe In Hope Wright. One of that album’s songs gets a sequel, featuring a couple familiar faces.

I’m sorry. Forgive me for being completely open and honest on topics I hold very close to me and for taking off my day-to-day filter. I’ll do all those things on my next song. – Hope Wright

Spotted on Believe In HOPE Wright (presented by the dopehouse), the Compton native’s official first single finally hits iTunes. If you’re a fan of the album the way I am (this will definitely be on my year-end list), support the “New West” lyricist in any way you can.

And just like that, H.O.P.E. is back to dropping more music on a non-every-eight-seasons basis. This cut seems to be off his upcoming Sincere²: The BLVCK TVPE. Nice.
