During the Vegas stop of Atmosphere’s To All My Friends Tour, Clement & Co. shot a four-minute flick w/ Rhymesayers emcee, Grieves.

“Shadow of a Giant” documents Grieves as he comments on the tour, how his signing with Rhymesayers has affected him and his expectations for his future releases. This four-minute film encapsulates the artist as he comes to grips with the shift from being a respected tour musician with a cult following to a representative of what URB Magazine (and Shake) calls the “best label of the decade”.

On September 8th, Atmosphere will be joined by Blueprint, Grieves, Budo and DJ Rare Groove as they jump start their To All My Friends Tour in Madison, WI. Hitting the road for a month long, 23 city adventure. Hit the jump for the dates/cities.

After the a capellas and instrumentals of Slug, Murs & Aesop Rock’s latest project were made available, Grieves & Budo got together a remixed their 5 favorite joints. Their remix of Protagonist can be streamed below and the rest is available below.

Earlier this week Rhymesayers announced their latest signee, New York City (based) emcee Grieves. On March 2nd he will be re-issuing his latest album 88-Keys & Counting as well as a brand new album later this year. Teaming up with Fifth Element, they are offering The Confessions of Mr. Modest EP as a bonus for those that pre-order. The very EP that this specific track will be featured on.

Now this is great news. Big Jess & Mad Son are back off hiatus (since 2006′s The Road Less Traveled) with a new album Le System D, dropping December 1st. With features from Braille, New MC, Promoe (of Looptroop) and Aaron Cosgrove (of New Congress). And as an added bonus, I’ve included one of my favorite joints off their 2000 debut World Premier.
