Not only did the Black Hippy crew take on Swimming Pools for a Target bonus off good kid, m.A.A.d city. The crew also laced the Scoop DeVille produced single for the Spotify bonus.
Kendrick Lamar caused a riot in Downtown L.A. performing a free concert outside the Staples Center on the eve of his debut album, good kid, m.A.A.d city which has officially arrived online and at retailers today. Standing on top of a TDE-stamped double-decker bus, K. Dot performed the LP’s lead singles, “Swimming Pools (Drank),” “The Recipe” and Section.80 material, “HiiiPoWer” and “A.D.H.D.” Watch more footage from the free show after the jump.
Just under three years ago a lesser known Kendrick was prepping the release of his self-titled EP (which still bares some of my favorite tracks from his catalogue). And during the promo campaign, the Compton kid laced the Dope House with an exclusive freestyle.
