In the same spot that DJBooth sat down with Cee-Lo, RubyHornet catches up with the Gnarls Barkley crooner to speak about the place the Windy City holds in his heart, his personal growth on a public stage and some future projects.
DJ Z catches up with Cee-Lo backstage at last week’s MGD Genuine Flow Tour in Chicago. They chop it up about Barack’s entrance into the White House, the future of Gnarls Barkley and Goodie Mob’s return in 2009. Hit up DJBooth.net for some more info, pics of the show and more.
Gnarls Barkley release a video for this joint that fell to the wayside of The Odd Couple. Off their upcoming Who’s Gonna Save My Soul EP, which is supposed to drop on November 11th. The EP will include Mystery Man, four versions of the title track and a live version of Neighbors that was performed at the 40 Watt Club. Check out gnarlsbarkley.com to download all the versions as well as the video.
Here’s a clip of Gnarls Barkley performing Whatever on the Sundance Channel’s Live From Abbey Road, which airs in it’s entirety this Thursday at 10:00 p.m. EST. eskay has a clip of them performing Surprise over at his spot.
Here goes the official version of Gnarls Barkley’s Who’s Gonna Save My Soul joint. One of my favorite joints off The Odd Couple. Damn this shit is dope.
More visual goodness from the Odd Couple. Shouts to Roberto, always hooking it up. Have you copped Gnarls’ latest LP? You should, it’s awesome. Be sure to check it out in reverse too.
Gnarls Barkley are MTV’s “52 Bands/52 Weeks” featured artist for the week of April 28th and they just released a short video for A Little Better. Also check below for a random ass video entitled Frisbee. That fuckin’ alligator is an asshole man. Also, Angie interviewed the duo for Hot97 (after the jump as well).
These guys never cease to amaze me. Always innovative and always left field with their music. To continue on with their originality they are releasing their latest album, The Odd Couple, in reverse. Yep … backwards. Cee-Lo and Dangermouse are offering this as a free download. Starting off with the album closer, A Little Better, check out the long .mp3 of reversed vocals and backwards beats. Talk about a mindfuck. I dig it though! And check after the jump for their performance of Run and Who’s Gonna Save My Soul on SNL.
What a surprise, I’m getting ready to set off on the internets and enjoy some CSI when I check my email for the last time and BOOM … Gnarls Barkley’s sophomore LP. Yes! So before I check out here are two joints off The Odd Couple. I’m gonna go with Who’s Gonna Save My Soul (which ?uest leaked via video earlier this week and is an early contender for song of the year for Shake) and the closing track, A Little Better. The album drops in April so be sure to cop that! I damn sure am…
Second joint to leak off the upcoming Cee-lo and Dangermouse album, The Odd Couple (April 2008). This comes right after the first joint that we “world premiered” (Run) and the video as well. Shouts to ?uestlove for leaking this joint via video. Yessir!
Yessir. The first official single off the upcoming Gnarls Barkley album, The Odd Couple, has visuals to go along with it now. And since I premiered the audio why not be oneof the first to drop the video?
