Finishing up my posts for the night, I’ve got the second single off the upcoming album, The Foundation, from German’s super producer Shuko. Yes… some (maybe most) have heard this, but for those that haven’t, enjoy. Hosted by Heltah Skeltah, mixed by DJ Dutchmaster; The Foundation features the artists on this track (of course) as well as Rakim, Papoose, Talib Kweli, Skyzoo, Torae, R.A. the Rugged Man and more. A dope mix of new, previously released and remixed joints. Look for that to drop April 14th on Coalmine records.
I lost contact with Torae for quite sometime. Shit I didn’t even realize he was across seas until he told me when he got back ha. It’s good to see him still grinding though. Check above as he performs a Pete Rock produced cut that will be dropping after his upcoming Double Barrel project with Marco Polo. Also, Tor was nominated for Best Lyricist in the 2008 Underground Music Awards. HipHopDX was nominated as well. Voting starts tomorrow (July1st) and ends July31st. So be sure to g-g-get to it!
I just got through my second listen of the Snowgoons upcoming album, Black Snow, which drops June 24th and just as I expected it’s nuts! These guys are really on their production game. Germany has that fiyahhh! Take sometime out and download these cuts. On top of the dope beats, the guest spots are sweet. Apathy & Ill Bill collab for the title cut while RA the Rugged Man straight MERKS his appearance (like usual). I really need a new album from dude. Then I’ll finish it up with a cool Molemen x Snowgoons connection!
The Snowgoons are an incredible production crew out of Germany. Their last album was ridiculous and I expect this one to be the same. Incase you can’t read during the video, Black Snow drops June 24th on Babygrande. This new video features Outerspace while the album has cameos from Reef the Lost Cauze, Ill Bill, Apathy, Smif-N-Wessun, RA the Rugged Man, Astonish and Scheme (of the Molemen), Killah Priest, El Da Sensai, Slaine and many more. Don’t sleep suckas.
