Frank Ocean Addresses Chris Brown Scrap & Rumors On Pressing Charges

Following the altercation with Chris Brown, and amidst the rumors swirling around the internet that Frank was planning on pressing charges, the man himself took to his Tumblr to the address the situation, writing:

AS A CHILD I THOUGHT IF SOMEONE JUMPED ME IT WOULD RESULT IN ME MURDERING OR MUTILATING A MAN. BUT AS A MAN I AM NOT A KILLER. I’M AN ARTIST AND A MODERN PERSON. I’LL CHOOSE SANITY. NO CRIMINAL CHARGES. NO CIVIL LAWSUIT. FORGIVENESS, ALBEIT DIFFICULT, IS WISDOM. PEACE, ALBEIT TRITE, IS WHAT I WANT IN MY SHORT LIFE. PEACE.

Chris Brown & Frank Ocean Involved In Altercation in LA

TMZ describes it as an “all-out brawl” but we all know how they love to exaggerate the point. Anyways, the two (and their respective entourages of course) ran into each other outside of Westlake Studio in Los Angeles. And after some words, the two groups went at it. No other details have been released, but Frank Ocean confirmed the altercation on Twitter a few minutes ago.

got jumped by chris and a couple guys. lol. i only wish everest was there. cut my finger now I can’t play w two hands at the grammys.

I don’t really care for R&Beef, so I’ll let Miss Info explain these two’s past.

UPDATE: Brown is being investigated and Ocean is looking to press charges.

Nas On Next LP, Wanting To Work w/ Frank Ocean (Video)

Sitting down with MTV at Hennessy’s Wild Rabbit campaign, Nas speaks on Life Is Good (which obviously made our 2012 2Dope Year End List) and speaks on his upcoming 11th studio album. One that he says will be more current and that he’d “love to reconnect” with Frank Ocean for.

It’s very now, it’s very 2013, Nasir Jones. That’s what it is. I feel great, I feel accomplished, I feel wiser and just really ready. I’m an open canvas, a clear canvas and an excited painter with a shaky hand. Not because of bad nerves, but because of excitement.

Frank Ocean – Pink Matter (rmx) f. Outkast

As we heard about before, Big Boi joins Andre 3000 on the remix to Frank Ocean’s “Pink Matter.” Now can we get a proper Outkast reunion this year? UPDATE: Added official artwork.

Big Boi To Join Andre 3000 On New Version of Frank Ocean’s “Pink Matter”

3 Stacks appeared on the original version of “Pink Matter” off Channel ORANGE. Well, a few days ago Big Boi took to his Tumblr to let the fans know he’s also dropping a verse on a new version of “Pink Matter” and confirmed it on Twitter. Outkast fans can finally rejoice, as this will be the closest to an Outkast reunion as we’ll get until the two decide to get back in the lab and bang out some new shit. SHAKE UPDATE: Just as he said below, Big Boi will also be adding some vocals to T.I.’s “I’m Sorry” as well. Dope!

Frank Ocean – Wiseman

After a short hiatus, Frank Ocean is back at it with a new cut via his tumblr. This track was scraped from the soundtrack for the Quentin Tarantino film titled “Django Unchained” nobly because he couldn’t find a place to fit it. Check a quote QT shared with Fuse.

Frank Ocean wrote a fantastic ballad that was truly lovely and poetic in every way, there just wasn’t a scene for it. I could have thrown it in quickly just to have it, but that’s not why he wrote it and not his intention. So I didn’t want to cheapen his effort. But, the song is fantastic, and when Frank decides to unleash it on the public, they’ll realize it then.
