“Foxy did this. Foxy did that.” There’s been mad talk about the Ill Na Na since like forever, and while ya’ll keep staying with your face in her puss, I guarantee you ain’t ever hear Foxy talk in first person like this. From her pops bouncing when she was 4 years old, to dating Haitian Jack at 14, her and Jay Z moving from the bench to the studio to the top, getting sucker punched with the deafness, her relationship with Nicki Minaj, that bid in jail.. I put money on it that this is the realest shit she ever spoke.
She took all your shots and now she’s firing back. You think she can’t hear you? You’re about to hear her loud and clear b.
For those who have never experienced it (it’s definitely something you have to see for yourself), when her version of this song drops at a party in New York (particularly in Brooklyn) the response of nearly every voice chanting along in unison is almost euphoric.
Nicki Minaj brought her Pink Friday Tour to New York City last night playing a closing show at the Roseland Ballroom presented by Pepsi. The Young Money barbie brought out her crew mates Drake and Lil Wayne, along with special guest appearances from Cam’ron and Foxy Brown. Watch how it all went down after the jump.
A video snippet of this dropped a looooong time ago, then a snippet about a month and some change ago, then the full version. Le sigh Inga… at this point the content of Nicki Minaj’s leggings have a bigger buzz than you. Sad, really.
Check out this exclusive interview with Foxy Brown speaking to Golden Girl of Power 99 in Philadelphia. Foxy calls in and speaks to Golden Girl about the current state of female rap, her respect/embracing of Nicki Minaj (Mek Dot edit: double entendre?), The rumors of her engagement with Rick Ross (Mek Dot edit: *chortles*) and her upcoming reality TV show with Vh1 (Mek Dot edit: hip hop is dead).
Curtis chops it up with Angela Yee on her Shade45 Morning Show to talk about the Rick Ross beef, T.I.’s plea bargain, Foxy Brown’s threat and applying the 48 Laws of Power. All of which are in the clip above. Hit the jump for their talks on traitors in his circle, baby mama drama. He even shovels out some advice for Officer Ricky about child support.
I don’t know too much about Mavado because they like to play bullshit here on the radio, but he’s apparently a big deal out in New York. Here’s a track LowKey sent over with Foxy Brown. On a semi-related note, there’s also some footage I saw of Foxy bouncing around all over the place performing in a Northern California club, but I tossed that link out and can’t find it. Any suppliers? UPDATE: Added the CDQ version.
Officer Ross, Bun B & T.I.P. jump on the remix to Algamega’s single. Not to be confused with the Uh Ohh (rmx) by Grafh. I also included a T.I. track that wasn’t featured on Paper Trail and will actually be on an upcoming I Know You Missed Me mixtape from The Empire (dropping tomorrow). And since I like to drop bonuses on ya’ll, Inga & Trina jumps on Clifford’s single for a remix. UPDATE: I guess the Inga verse was blended in so here is the version with just Trina. *shrugs…
