Before I get into this, I have to apologize for my absence. I didn’t have access to the internet for the last few. Which came at a good/bad time as I’ve been going through a few personal issues and needed the short break. Shouts to Meka for holding it down. Aight… enough sappy shit. We gave you the Slaughterhouse album snippets below, now we’ve got the snippets for Joe Budden’s upcoming digital EP that drops next Tuesday on AmalgamDigital. My man Tunji just shot over a very dope project that he helped coordinate and wanted the dopehouse and our illRoots fam to exclusively share with the world. You most likely will recognize the name from her work with Idle Warship (alongside Talib Kweli & Res) but this Canadian songwriter/vocalist has worked closely w/ The Neptunes, N.E.R.D., Esthero and much more. Currently working with Pharrell on a few new projects and prepping to tour Europe with Idle Warship; Graph wanted to release a five track EP that features songs about love, loss, hope and living life. I advise you don’t sleep on this… at all.

We are very excited to present Odd Summer, a (mainly) instrumental EP from Put Me On It family member Oddisee. It features three exclusive tracks – In Your Eyes, Sligo Creek, and That Day (instrumental). The photo in the artwork was taken by Oddisee, of Omdurman (Khartoum, Sudan), where he spent every summer growing up, swimming and fishing in the Nile.

As I mentally prepare myself for a lunch with hundreds of 3rd-5th graders (taking some Subway to my little bro for his bornday) I received the first leak off Mayday’s upcoming EP, Junkyard Dog. The new single brings that typical sound you’d expect from these guys. Dope mic skills, matched with a live sound.
