Browsing the internets on this slower than molasses Tuesday morning I see that OKP has put up a new Dice Raw joint. Dope. D.R.’s been doing it for over 14 years now. Runnin with the Roots crew since ’94. And according to dantana there’s atleast 75 unreleased joints chillin. I wonder if those will ever come out. I need some more Nouveau Riche though!

Despite Mazzi saying that the Jay Electronica & The Cool Kids diss record and video were an experiment, Chicago’s own Mic Terror still took offense. I understand why, some of the stuff was still aimed at clothing, fashion, etc. Mic Terror can spit, believe me, but this seems too a bit off. Not sure about the Lean Back beat choice either. I’ve been checking his stuff though ever since Andrew posted some awhile back. Which is where I snagged this as well. An accompanying video will be dropped today.

I’ve been a fan of J the S (used to go by Jake the Snake) for quite some time now. Reppin Boston, this dude can put it down. I was originally going to just post a few tracks off his new mixtape but I got the word that they wanna put the whole thing out their for free. When in Rome… is the prequel to his third album, The Last Days, which drops next year. Shake‘s on the artwork for this so you gotta check it out just off that haha. I first caught wind of Danny! with his release of Charm a few years back, which ironically was announced to be his last album. Luckily, events occurred and Danny Swain didn’t retire. With a new LP on the way, the 24-year old emcee/producer releases a 12″ that has Guess Who’s Back featuring Naledge (of Kidz in the Hall) and a b-side Do You. Be on the lookout for the next single featuring the ever-so-dope Von Pea (of Tanya Morgan) in a few days and the And I Love H.E.R. LP later this year!

What’s crazy is that that is only about half of the releases from the Living Legends (from group to solo projects). On April 8th, the Living Legends crew are dropping two releases. The entire Living Legends crew (Murs, The Grouch, Eligh, etc) are releasing a 7 track EP, The Gathering. Each track has all 8 members getting down. Also, The Grouch is releasing his first solo project in close to 5 years, Show You the World. Be on the lookout for a full-length LP from the Living Legends later this year.

Dope emcee from Brooklyn. Dude has a dope little style to him (reminiscent of an old Eminem) and has been doing shit for years now. Last year he did a wrap up of 2006 (ala Skillz) and he does it again. This year is better than S-K-I-double L-Z in my opinion.
